    Project Coordinator

     

    Kinkaid Civil Construction (KCC)

    Location: Salt Lake City “Surrounding Areas” – UT (Project Sites Throughout Utah)

    Kinkaid Civil Construction is a 100% employee-owned, family-run heavy civil construction company that self-performs underground utility installation and earthwork. With a strong reputation for integrity, safety, and quality craftsmanship, we are committed to building infrastructure that lasts while investing in the people who help build it.

     

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Coordinator to support project teams with administrative, documentation, and coordination efforts from pre-construction through project closeout on heavy civil and underground utility projects throughout Utah.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Contract & Document Coordination

    Assist with routing contracts for internal and external signatures

    Organize and maintain project files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date

    Submittals & Document Control

    Prepare and track submittal packages, RFIs, and transmittals

    Maintain logs for submittals, RFIs, and project correspondence

    Ensure timely follow-up on pending items and approvals

     

     

    Plans & Project Documentation

    Distribute updated plans and documents to project teams and subcontractors

    Ensure field teams are working from the most current drawings and specifications

    Procurement & Vendor Coordination

    Assist in gathering and organizing subcontractor and supplier quotes

    Support purchase order and subcontract documentation tracking

    Maintain updated vendor and subcontractor contact lists

    Project Support & Coordination

    Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project needs

    Assist with scheduling coordination, meeting notes, and tracking project milestones

    Coordinate communication between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients

    Field & Administrative Support

    Assist with jobsite documentation, reporting, and data entry as needed

    Support onboarding documentation and compliance tracking for subcontractors



    Requirements

    2+ years of experience in construction administration, project coordination, or a related role preferred

    Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment

    Basic understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project processes

    Strong communication and coordination skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

    Experience with construction management software is a plus

    Self-motivated and team-oriented mindset

    Senior Project Manager – Underground Wet Utilities

    Kinkaid Civil Construction (KCC) is a growing, family-run, and 100% employee-owned civil construction company based in Mesa, Arizona. We take pride in our work as both a General Contractor and Subcontractor, specializing in self-performed underground utility installation and earthwork. At KCC, we value a team-first culture and a commitment to doing the job right.

    We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Underground Wet Utilities to provide leadership, direction, and oversight on large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects. This individual will play a critical role in managing complex underground utility operations while supporting project teams, mentoring staff, and maintaining strong communication with executive leadership, clients, subcontractors, and field operations.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Manage heavy civil and underground utility projects from pre-construction through closeoutOversee project scope, budgets, schedules, forecasting, and overall project executionLead project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and consultantsCoordinate project startup activities and ensure successful project execution from award through final closeoutTrack, manage, and communicate project financials and construction budgets to executive leadershipReview and approve subcontractor/vendor invoices, change orders, and project documentationEnsure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, specifications, and company proceduresFacilitate value engineering discussions and proactively resolve project-related issuesMaintain strong relationships with owners, municipalities, inspectors, and project stakeholdersConduct project closeout reviews and gather customer feedback for continuous improvementMentor and develop project management staff and field leadership teamsTravel to project sites throughout Arizona and surrounding areas as required


     

    Minimum 7 years of experience in heavy civil construction project managementProven experience managing underground wet utility projects, including water, sewer, and storm drain systemsStrong knowledge of large-diameter pipeline installation, trenching, excavation, and utility infrastructureProven ability to manage large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through closeoutStrong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and contract administrationAbility to effectively lead teams and coordinate across multiple departments and stakeholdersStrong communication, leadership, and executive reporting skillsExperience mentoring and developing project management and field operations staffStrong understanding of construction safety standards and compliance requirementsProficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software platforms

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS, PlanSwift, Smartsheet, and/or MS ProjectOSHA 30 CertificationPMP Certification and/or advanced education preferred
