Head of Construction Operations
Our client is seeking a proven construction operations leader for their senior leadership role overseeing large-scale commercial construction and facility management projects. This position requires an experienced leader who can balance strategy with hands-on execution, guiding teams and contractors to deliver projects on time, on budget, and above expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead internal teams, General Contractors, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Manage full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, from planning through completion.
Integrate multiple trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and carpentry.
Establish and enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Build and mentor teams.
Foster collaboration and accountability.
Maintain proactive client communication before, during, and after projects.
Drive innovation, risk management, and process improvements across operations.
Qualifications
7+ years in construction management, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
Direct P&L oversight, pricing, bidding, and job costing experience.
Hands on trade knowledge with ability to oversee service repairs.
Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam), scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera), and reporting platforms (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with mobile work order systems (e.g., Samsara, ServiceChannel) and CRM tools.
Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
OSHA certification preferred.
