This role exists to support complex aerospace manufacturing programs and continuous improvement initiatives across Kinetic Engine Systems' operations.
In this position, you will play a critical role in designing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes that ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability while supporting the production of ultra-complex engine components.
The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Design and implement manufacturing processes from concept through production Create shop routers, bills of materials (BOMs), and process documentation Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost Assess production workflows and analyze data to drive improvements Support shop-floor operations by troubleshooting in-process issues Develop best practices, standard procedures, and innovative solutions Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams Ensure processes meet aerospace standards and specifications Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity Maintain organized work areas using 6S practices Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements
Machines, Controls & Software
You'll work with advanced aerospace manufacturing systems such as:
Machines: Multi-axis CNC milling and turning centers CAM Software: Siemens NX CAM (required/preferred) Engineering Tools: CAD/CAM systems, process planning tools Documentation Systems: Routers, BOMs, process instructions

What We're Looking ForRequired
3+ years of process engineering or manufacturing engineering experience Strong understanding of machining processes and machine capabilities CAD/CAM experience (NX preferred) Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T Knowledge of workholding methods and fixturing Familiarity with inspection processes and quality requirements Understanding of aerospace manufacturing standards Knowledge of outside processes (plating, surface treatments, heat treat) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesPreferred
Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field Prior aerospace manufacturing experience Experience supporting production environments Continuous improvement experience

Develop CNC programs for complex multi-axis milling operations Select tooling, cutting strategies, and toolpaths using CAD/CAM software Validate programs using simulation software (Vericut) Create tooling lists, setup sheets, and process documentation Analyze and troubleshoot machining issues on the production floor Optimize programs and setup times for continuous improvement Modify existing programs and processes as needed Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality teams Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures Maintain organized work areas using 6S practices
