Exciting opportunity to join our growing team in West Boca! We are a midsized Pediatric Multispecialty Center seeking a full time Medical Assistant, Monday-Friday.
Greets, receives, and prepares patients for appointments/procedures; conducts interviews with patients, measures vital signs, and records information.Maintains clean and neat examination areas in a manner consistent with OSHA standards.Receives and screens telephone calls.Schedules patient appointments.Coordinates patient flow.Prepares timely, legible, and complete documentation of patient care under physician guidance as provided by law, regulation, and established policyExhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.Medical Assistants who recently graduated or are approaching graduation must obtain MA certification within 60 days of employmentExperience working in a pediatric setting strongly preferredCardiology experience a plus (but not required)Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferredKnowledge of medical terminology and authorization processesAbility to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.Commitment to excellence and high standardsExcellent written and oral communication skillsVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmGood judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsJOB TYPE / WORK SCHEDULE:
