Position Overview
The Briefing Attorney will focus heavily on drafting high-quality briefs, motions, and legal memoranda in support of the firm’s active litigation docket. Assignments will include pretrial and trial-level motions such as:
Motions to compel discoveryMotions for summary judgment and responsesDaubert and other evidentiary motionsAffirmative motions and procedural briefingsThis is a critical position for the firm and offers the opportunity to shape legal strategy in high-stakes personal injury and consumer protection cases.
Duties and Responsibilities
Research, draft, and edit motions, responses, and briefs in active litigationPrepare pleadings and filings in complex personal injury and consumer law casesAnalyze legal issues and provide written memoranda to support trial strategyAssist in developing legal arguments on contested issues before and during trialStay current with applicable case law, rules, and procedural developmentsQualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law schoolLicensed and in good standing with the Texas BarMinimum of two (2) years of experience practicing at a civil litigation firm, or one (1) year in a judicial clerkshipSuperior legal research and writing skillsStrong organizational, analytical, and communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple assignments with independence, judgment, and professionalismCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and complying with firm policies and security protocolsTo Apply:
