    Due to our growth, Key Construction has a need for a Superintendent living in Wichita and has the ability to travel up to 3 hours away from Wichita.


    Summary:

    The superintendent is responsible for running the day-to-day operations on the construction site, guaranteeing adherence to the schedule, coordinating subcontractors, managing materials and equipment while ensuring plans and specifications are followed.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Read, interpret, and understand contract documents, soil reports, plans, specifications, ASI’s, RFI’s, submittals, test reports, building codes, ADA standards, ASTM’s, and relevant project material.Direct day-to-day onsite supervision of subcontractors and labor force.Ensure that jobsite is always kept in a clean, organized, and safe manner.Manage schedule for subcontractors and vendors to ensure milestones are met and timely completion is achieved.Generating and properly describing Requests for Information (RFI) including necessary pictures and sketches.Complete detailed daily reports documenting weather conditions, manpower logs, work completed, project-specific notes, equipment log, jobsite visitors, inspections, and trash dumpsters.Complete all field reports and documentation including: orientation meetings, pre-installation meetings, safety checklists, weekly toolbox meetings, quality control inspections, and material receipts.Enforce safety rules set forth by the company, OSHA, local codes, and all governing authorities.Schedule and meet with inspectors and other building/government officials.Assist in reviewing and qualifying subcontractors.


    Qualifications and Skills:

    At least 5 years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor.Experience with Procore is a plus.Must possess the ability to proactively identify problems (or potential problems) and urgently initiate action plans.Must have the ability to work up to 3 hours outside of Wichita. Proven ability to develop lasting, positive customer relationships.Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results.Valid Driver’s License required.

    We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team in DFW.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing building construction and renovation projects.Coordinate bids as well as perform all the functions of an Assistant Project Manager to help coordinate/execute projects.Plan and coordinate construction activities on daily basis.Establish budget and schedule for construction project.Monitor and control expenses within the established budget.Analyze construction problems and develop immediate resolutions.Respond to customer inquiries and concerns promptly.Identify slippages or delays in constructions and adjust schedules to meet deadlinesIdentify milestones and problem areas and accordingly recommend preventive actions.Work with Project Manager to develop project plan, quality assurance plan and health and safety plan.Analyze RFI responses and monitor and process change orders.Maintain strong relationships with internal and external client, including representatives of the owner.


    Qualifications and Skills:

    Prior experience as a Project Engineer in the Construction Industry with a General Contractor is preferred.Bachelors degree in Construction Science, Management, Engineering or other related field is helpful.Valid Drivers License required.

    Summary:

    The Assistant Superintendent/Field Engineer works closely with the Superintendent running the day to day operations on the construction site. They assist in coordinating subcontractors, managing materials and equipment, and monitoring conformance with the plans and specs. The Assistant Superintendent may assume the role of quality control, SWPPP Management, Field office documentation, and/or safety compliance.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Read, interpret, and understand contract documents, soil reports, plans, specifications, ASIs, RFIs, submittals, test reports, building codes, ADA standards, ASTMs, and other relevant project material.Assist day-to-day onsite supervision of subcontractors and labor force.Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with contracted scope of work.Walk project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.Responsible to assist scheduling of subcontractors and vendors to ensure milestones are met and timely completion is achieved.Develop and manage look ahead schedules to ensure work is coordinated between trades and within the constraints of the milestones.Participate in weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.Generating and properly describing Requests for Information (RFI) including necessary pictures and sketches.Perform quality control inspections regarding the work being performed.Complete all field reports and documentation including; orientation meetings, preinstallation meetings, safety checklists, weekly toolbox meetings, quality control inspections, and material receipts.Complete Weekly Jobsite Safety Inspections.Enforce safety rules set forth by the company, OSHA, local codes and all governing authorities.Schedule and meet with inspectors and other building/government officials.Conduct owner and subcontractor walk-throughs and prepare punch lists.Maintain strong relationships with internal and external client, including representatives of the owner.Monitor costs, including labor and material.Track and confirm daily work hours on any T&M work that may be directed by the project manager.Other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications and Skills:

    Bachelors Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent 4 years work experience. Construction Science is a plus.Previous experience onsite as a Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.Must be able to travel to jobsites as requested.Strong organization, leadership, and delegation skills are required.Proven ability to develop lasting, positive customer relationships.Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results.Valid Drivers License required.

    10 years of verifiable experience as a Project Manager may be substituted for a degree or a combination of education and verifiable experience.Emphasis on healthcare, K-12 education, higher education, multifamily and /or entertainment is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and excellent presentation skills are required.Strong organization, leadership, negotiation, and delegation skills are required.Proven ability to develop lasting, positive customer relationships.Must be able to interact effectively and diplomatically with diverse people, both on an individual basis as well as within group situations.Valid Drivers License required.
