About the Role
Allied Mechanical is looking for a hands-on Electrical Superintendent who can do it all — estimate work, run jobs from start to finish, keep crews productive and schedules on track, and still put on a tool belt when the project demands it. This isn't a desk role. You'll be a key part of how we win work and deliver it, owning the field from bid to closeout. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for all operational, oversite, and installation aspects of the assigned job. Ensures that the work is in accordance with relevant codes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting site superintendent of all employees assigned to a specific work area of the job.Successful completion of all required paperwork, such as but not limited to: Packing Slips, work order forms, two week look ahead, change requests, timecards, information needed for monthly draws and material requisition/return sheets.Performs weekly safety training for all employees assigned to the job. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for all operational, oversite, and installation aspects of the assigned job. Ensures that the work is in accordance with relevant codes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting site superintendent of all employees assigned to a specific work area of the job.Successful completion of all required paperwork, such as but not limited to: Packing Slips, work order forms, two week look ahead, change requests, timecards, information needed for monthly draws and material requisition/return sheets.Performs weekly safety training for all employees assigned to the job. (Tailgate/Toolbox Training)Consistent communication with the site superintendent.Gathers tools and supplies to be used at work site according to instructions. Maintaining the truck inventories is necessary to maintain day to day activities. Assist in the unloading and shelving of materials on incoming trucks as needed. Transports tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work sites if necessary. Assists in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors. Follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings & flooring. Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provides access for future maintenance, & avoid unsightly hazardous, & unreliable installations, consistent with specifications & local electrical codes.Inspects systems and electrical parts to detect hazards, defects and need for adjustments and repair. Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohm meter, volt meter and oscilloscope, and amp meter. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools. Traces out short circuits in wiring, using knowledge of wiring and test meter.Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads. Performs minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches using hand tools.Maintains tools and equipment, washes parts and keeps supplies and parts in order, general housekeeping of work site. Responsible for adhering to and/or enforcing all safety policies and procedures of McClintock Electric, Inc.If driving your personal vehicle for business or a company vehicle, absolutely NO cell phone use is permitted! ICON Electric is hiring an Electrical VDC / BIM Coordinator to help drive how our projects are planned, coordinated, and executed in the field.
We are investing in VDC, prefabrication, and planning to improve execution—and this role is at the center of that effort. You will work directly with Project Managers and Foremen to solve real installation challenges, especially in underground (UG) and early-phase work, before they become costly field issues.
This is not a drafting-only role. This is a field-impact position focused on improving how projects get built.
