Purpose: The Estimating Manager will play a key role in KCIs preconstruction and estimating operations, providing strategic leadership and oversight in the preparation of comprehensive estimates. Reporting to the Director of Estimating, the Estimating Manager will manage all aspects of pricing and bidding for civil, highway/roadway, water/wastewater, and self-perform general contracting projects. This role demands extensive expertise in construction means and methods, cost analysis, and advanced construction principles, as well as the ability to guide and mentor junior team members.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Oversight: Lead the development of accurate, competitive, and risk-conscious estimates, ensuring alignment with project goals and company objectives.Document Analysis: Review and interpret all bid documents to determine project scope, required deliverables, and estimating approach.Cost Evaluation: Provide detailed analysis of labor, material, and equipment costs, leveraging advanced tools and methodologies.Quantity Take-Offs: Oversee and perform detailed take-offs, ensuring precision and consistency across all estimates.Supplier/Subcontractor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, fostering ethical partnerships and ensuring competitive pricing.Site Assessments: Conduct thorough investigations of project sites to evaluate conditions affecting construction means, methods, and costs.

Purpose:
The Project Director shall provide leadership and managerial oversight to assigned
project management teams to ensure projects are being managed and constructed in a safe and
efficient manner to successful completion.

Provide monthly updates to Vice President-Transportation on all projects for team, including status of schedule, costs, and major project impacts.
Attend and participate in subcontractor/owner meetings; provide input as needed to ensure
project partners are working together as a team.
Foster relationship with current clients and prospects to ensure expectations are being met;
ensure issues are being handled in a proactive manner and resolved in a timely fashion.
Provide advice, guidance, and direction to subordinates toward their professional development.

Assist in the resolution of construction claims, as needed. Meet regularly with project management teams to review project progress, schedules, budgets, and specific issues.

Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
A minimum of 15 years in the construction industry.
Experience with heavy civil construction/Department of Transportation.
Private and public work sector experience a plus.
A high degree of integrity that shows support for the company and the employees while
maintaining focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
Ability to organization, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.

Purpose: The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage all facets of assigned project (s), including,
safety, planning, project schedule, project documentation, managing risk, profitability, and overall
day-to-day operations, resulting in a profitable, well-constructed project.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze profit projections monthly. Determine recommended action on overruns.
Prepare cost book, monitor costs and correct posting errors.
Responsible for subcontractor scope of work, change order management, and coordination of
items.
Prepare, update, and adhere to project schedule. Attend subcontractor/owner meeting to
discuss schedule.
Determine the most cost-effective use of construction methods and use of personnel, material,
and equipment.
Responsible for effective and efficient coordination of the field and office activities on assigned
projects, including project scheduling activities.
Purchase major materials and award subcontracts at the most competitive price early enough
to ensure timely delivery of materials and performance of subcontracts.
Code and approve subcontractor and material invoices in a timely fashion.
Assemble, submit, and track monthly invoices to Owner.
Partner with Superintendent to maintain good subcontractor relations and activities, as well as
other areas requiring coordination between field and office.
In coordination with Superintendent, purchase materials economically and expeditiously for
assigned projects.
Ensure project is completed in compliance with project documents and quality standards.
Monitor maintenance of as-built drawings with Superintendent, as required. Ensure as-built
drawings are transferred to permanent records.
Estimate and submit timely change proposals to the owner/engineer. Prepare change orders
between the company and owner/engineer/subcontractors.
Manage submittal process to ensure accuracy and timeliness to support project schedule.
Resolve design/detail problems with owners, engineers, architects, suppliers, and
subcontractors.
Prepare at various stages (pre-bid, post award, etc.) and update as necessary the project
progress schedule in coordination with the Superintendent.
Coordinate material deliveries and subcontract work in accordance with progress schedule and
adjust as necessary due to changes.
Manage and train subordinates.
Accurate estimating of projects assigned.
Act as the company representative/liaison with the Owner, Architect, and Engineer.
Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.
A minimum of 6 + years in civil construction ranging from $10 to $30 million in scope.
Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Must be a self-starter, team player and communicate in a professional manner.
Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software and HCSS. Vista experience a

Purpose: Project Superintendent is responsible for the timely completion of assigned project(s) and ensuring project is constructed in strict accordance with plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule
Own execution of project milestones; partner with and communicate progress and challenges to Project Manager.
Drive short term schedule (3-week look ahead) and tie back to milestones; distribute to subcontractors at weekly meetings.
Identify and drive critical path items, pertaining to overall schedule end date.
Work with Field Operations Manager for manpower needs for critical path items.
Partner with Project Manager to plan and communicate project phasing and deadlines.
Production/Quality Control
Drive overall quality control from start to close out.
Partner with estimator/preconstruction from start through project completion to understand how the project was estimated to maximize production.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; monitor own work to ensure quality.
Meets and works to beat productivity standards; completes work in a timely manner.
Direct labor, equipment, and subcontractors through project completion.
Coordinate and direct work in the field to ensure work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications.
Planning/Cost Management/Manhours
Collaborate with project manager on overall job cost estimate.
Watch overall manhours and associated costs compared to estimate.
Proactively work with warehouse personnel to schedule and return equipment.
Proactively plan work to ensure project deadlines are met in accordance with

Adhere to OSHA/company safety requirements; create and maintain a safe work environment and hold team accountable to maintain high safety standards.

At least five years superintendent experience with a focus on commercial. Heavy civil construction a plus.

OSHA 30 Hour required
Experience managing self-performed work, a plus.
