    JOB SUMMARY: The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites.

    We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Desktop Support Queue Manager. This vital role ensures the efficient and timely resolution of end-user technical issues by managing the desktop support queue within Remedy. The Queue Manager will be responsible for triaging, prioritizing, and assigning incoming tickets to Desktop Support Technicians, monitoring ticket progress, and ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This position requires a strong understanding of desktop support principles combined withe xceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

    CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    • Candidates must hold a current IAT-II certification (e.g., Security +, CCNA Security, CySA+) as defined by DoD 8570.01-M and/or 8140.

    SHIFT: Day Shift - Full time on-site at Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Maryland

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage and prioritize the incoming ticket queue within Remedy, ensuring timely assignment and resolution of end-user requests.
    • Monitor ticket progress and proactively follow up with technicians to facilitate timely completion within established SLAs.
    • Identify and escalate complex or high-priority issues to appropriate support teams. Provide regular updates to management on queue status, including key metrics like ticket volume, resolution time, and SLA adherence.
    • Collaborate with Desktop Support Technicians to identify recurring issues and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to queue management processes.
    • Contribute to the development and improvement of queue management procedures and best practices.
    • Provide occasional Tier 1 desktop support as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • An associate degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology,engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming,management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics or business/finance plus 5 years' experience.
    • Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
      Education and experience requirements may be substituted with:
      1. A bachelor's degree (in subjects described above) and 4 years general experience of which at least two years must be specialized experience.
      2. No degree and 8 years general experience of which at least 6 years is specialized experience.
    • Active CompTIA Security + certification (or equivalent)
    • Currently possess an Active DoD Secret security clearance
    • Proven experience in a desktop support environment.
    • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and service management best practices.
    • Proficiency with Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience leading a desktop support team
    • Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    KaylaTek is seeking a TEMPEST Analyst/Manager that will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of TEMPEST certification processes within the organization. This individual will ensure that our products and facilities meet the stringent requirements for TEMPEST certification, providing assurance to our customers and stakeholders of the security of our systems.

    • Develop and implement TEMPEST certification procedures and protocols in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and security, to ensure compliance with TEMPEST requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Conduct TEMPEST inspections and assessments of equipment, facilities, and processes to identify and address any potential security vulnerabilities.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for TEMPEST certification authorities, communicating effectively to facilitate the certification process.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Keep abreast of updates and changes to TEMPEST standards and regulations, providing guidance and recommendations for maintaining compliance.
    • Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed to support TEMPEST certification efforts.
    • Document and maintain comprehensive records of TEMPEST certification activities, findings, and outcomes.
    • Provide training and guidance to staff members on TEMPEST security principles and best practices
    • To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
    • Government CTP or CTTA training
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 4+ years of in depth experience including RMF and NIST 800-53 and A&A's with at least 2 years of experience with Tempest inspections or requirements
      • No degree and 2 years of Air Force Tempest experience with Air Force Tempest schoolhouse training/certification may be considered in lieu of a degree

    • Strong understanding of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles.

    KaylaTek has an exciting opportunity supporting the AFNCR IT contract at Joint Base Andrews, MD. The Data Center Manager will support the 844th Communications Group at Joint Base Andrews (JBA). This role includes supporting the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) and Headquarters Air Force (HAF) customers on both NIPRNet and SIPRNet domains for the development of the Consolidated Communications Center (CCC) building. The preferred candidate will have excellent communications skills, a strong customer service orientation and experience serving as an advisor to Chief Architect and other Government/ Contractor staff and managers.

    Location: Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Maryland - 100% on site

    Desired Certifications: DoD 8140 compliant certification and Data Center Management Certification a plus

    Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance to start (no interims)

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead and assist with all design aspects of the CCC building data center support systems, to include AC/DC power, UPS, HVAC, carrier infrastructures, internal/external cable plant, and overall data center layout
    • Produce architectural artifacts to include system design diagrams, recommendation justifications, and technical specifications.
    • Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction
    • Create and review civil/structural/architectural design RFPs.
    • Conduct site assessments, internal design meetings, construction reviews.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the processes and standards that govern data center activities
    • Coordinate and control access and logistic support
    • Follow Data centers procedures and processes
    • Manage and coordinate the installation and maintenance of date center equipment
    • Ensure compliance with data center security protocols

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years in Civil Engineering and the equivalent relevant experience in data center or mission critical facilities design.
    • Experience managing data centers or DoD command centers.
    • Candidate with an IT background managing a DOD data center or command center, who in addition has also worked the design, fit out and management of a DoD data center or command center and worked with Air Force CE, NAVFAC, construction contractors, IT contractors, etc.
    • Active Secret Clearance to start (no interims)
    • Experience managing hardware configuration baselines
    • Experience with Data Center Strategy, Planning, and Roadmap maintenance
    • Knowledge of power infrastructure layout from generation to rack level, redundancy levels and techniques, rack standards, properties and selection criteria, and power rail/strip options, cold aisle/hot aisle containment, and standards for fire suppression, security and safety
    • Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships, partnerships and external networks
    • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and work effectively in a collaborative team environment while keeping the team informed.
    • Excellent customer facing skills.
    • Excellent researching, decision-making and organizational skills are required.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD
    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and other guidelines where appropriate.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience or familiarity with DCIM management software such as NLYTE

    • Proactively monitor network health using SolarWinds and SCOM, identifying and analyzing alerts for potential issues.
