Job DescriptionJob DescriptionKadon is experiencing significant growth within its Aerospace, Space and Defense customer segment. To both help manage the growth and continue to build on the growth, Kadon is seeking an individual to join its Rockford, IL based team to be the primary point of contact with select Aerospace, Space and Defense customers who have selected Kadon as a preferred partner to expand its contract manufacturing relationship. Under limited supervision, the Program Manager for assigned accounts will ensure that customer purchase order requirements (quality, due date, etc.) are understood clearly within the Company and achieved as well as identifying opportunities where the Company can increase its sales/products for the assigned customer accounts. The position reports to the President and CEO. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Establishes and maintains position as primary point of contact for the assigned customer accounts.Commercial-relatedIdentify key decision makers within assigned customer accounts and develop a regular cadence to meet with said individuals for new opportunities. Maintain an ongoing sales pipeline report and provide such reports in accordance with company timelines and format.Coordination with internal personnel of all quoting activity for assigned accounts.Recommend strategies and develop plans to satisfy customer needs and Kadon’s business objectives.Operations-relatedPrepares and maintains a master schedule for assigned projects for assigned accounts. Reviews customer backlog schedule and works with internal management team to ensure resource and capacity in place to meet manufacturing, quality and delivery timing for all PO’s.Reviews program plans to determine time frames, establish work plans, and to determine interdivisional staffing recourses.Prepares a “critical items” report and circulates to supervisor on a recurring basis as determined.Plans and develop methods and procedures for monitoring ongoing projects, direct and coordinates program activities, and work with management personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of programs within established metrics (time frame, cost, quality, etc.).Acts as the liaison between operational, sales and quality teams.Take the lead role in organizing the internal team and responding to any Customer Corrective Actions or Quality-related items.Coordinates personnel to successfully recommend and manage the resources needed to complete programs.Determine what can be learned from the project results and communicate to team members the improvement recommendations for future projects. Prepares financial analysis of actual vs. quoted/expected results and provides insight as to variances to management team.Other relatedEnsures compliance with any contracts, LTA’s or PO terms and conditions.Circulates customer scorecards to internal management. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Comply with state and federal law safety regulations in addition to Kadon safety and security procedures. Adhere to company policies and state and federal laws and regulations relating to employment, including promoting a workplace free of discrimination and harassment.Other related duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods of time, visit customer facilities, including out-of-state and international travel, and travel between departments and divisions.WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will periodically have to travel through manufacturing departments. The atmosphere is a climatic office setting, and the employee will spend the majority of time in transit. The employee is required to travel, including internationally.QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ Years of experience in a precision manufacturing environment required.Previous experience in the aerospace, space & defense sector required.Must have ability to read blueprints.Must have an understanding of Kadon’s manufacturing capabilities including milling, lathe, swiss turning, mill-turning, etc. Must have the ability to design and implement business proposals.Must possess or be capable of learning successful sales skills and techniques.Must possess good negotiation skills.Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and oral.Must have a working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Access, GHANT chart, and other Windows applications.Previous experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager desired. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
