Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Mechanic III for our client. This role is responsible for performing advanced maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company tractors, trailers, and equipment. This role works closely with other mechanics and operations teams to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently in compliance with federal and state regulations.What’s a Typical Day Like?Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractors, trailers, and shop equipment.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and cooling system issues.Review work orders and coordinate tasks with supervisors and team members.Inspect components such as belts, hoses, brakes, fuel systems, steering systems, and wheel bearings using proper tools and checklists.Disassemble equipment and inspect parts for wear using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups.Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer specifications.Communicate with drivers to understand equipment issues and provide repair updates.Perform minor fabrication and welding repairs as needed.Maintain and repair shop equipment.Maintain accurate records and documentation of repairs and maintenance activities.Participate in parts inventory and assist with inventory control when required.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Support training and development of junior mechanics.Follow all safety procedures, shop rules, and regulatory requirements.Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.What Are the Requirements of the Job?High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 6 years of experience as a diesel mechanicMinimum 2 years of MIG and TIG welding experienceStrong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment repairAbility to read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematicsExperience with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniquesKnowledge of Federal, State, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulationsMust own and maintain personal hand toolsCDL preferredValid driver’s license required with ability to operate non-CDL commercial vehiclesShop and outdoor work environmentExposure to noise, fumes, grease, and moving mechanical equipmentAbility to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and componentsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and work in various positions for extended periodsAbility to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment regularlyAbility to move or lift to 50 lbs.Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.Capability to stand for prolonged periods of timeCommunication skillsWhy Choose Kable Workforce Solutions?Weekly PayExclusive Access Opportunities to V.I.P.
