    JW Hicks, Inc. is an American manufacturing/design company located in Northern Indiana specializing in high technology ceramic products for the metals industry. Currently we are looking to add a Technical Service Representative to our team. This person will serve as primary contact for customers regarding products and services supplied by JW Hicks. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot technical problems, the ability to communicate with various customers in either technical details or layman’s terms and has a heart for “Doing it Right.”

    Primary Responsibilities

    Ensure proper use of JWHI products on customer siteRespond to product performance issues; troubleshoot problems in conjunction with JWHI Engineering and Application groupsMaintain and develop customer relationshipsEncourage/teach customers to follow proper standard operating procedures and safety features

    Minimum Qualifications

    2-year technical degree or equivalent experienceAbility and willingness to travel up to 35% of the timeStrong interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with ISO standardsBasic computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels of the customer organizationAbility and willingness to learn

    Preferred Qualifications

This individual will be responsible for production of complete mechanical systems, spare parts, and component refurbishment through on site manufacturing and external procurement. Systems include fabrications, machined parts, castings, hydraulics components, and hardware used in valves in an industrial environment. Candidate should be familiar with machining operations and fabrication, be skilled in drawing interpretation, procurement administration, scheduling, and quality control in an ISO certified environment.     Minimum Requirements
    • B. S. degree in a Technical field
    • Ability to use CAD software
    • 3-5 years' experience in a production environment with some project management responsibilities
