    Installing complex AV systems. Technicians must complete technical installation of AV systems, including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of Crestron Digital Media and control systems. Also, trouble-shoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems problems as required.
    Install, configure, integrate and test videoconferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies (videoconferencing, multimedia, displays, video projection systems, audio reinforcement systems, cameras, microphones, document cameras, streaming technologies, etc.) and A/V based collaboration technologies.
    Integrate and configure A/V systems with Crestron control systems. Install and configure Crestron Digital Media products.

    Additional Responsibilities

    Assist in Developing and conduct on-site user and administrative training for the installed integrated A/V systems.
    Assist in design, integration, testing and troubleshooting of various network and telecommunications systems including IP and ISDN networks.
    Assist in customer site surveys, including collecting and recording existing detailed operational, functional and technical requirements, developing project scopes. This would be the design engineer responsibility not a technician.
    Understanding plans and specifications to identify the materials and equipment needed to ensure compliance with project requirements. This would be the design engineer responsibility.
    Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of electrical plans, blueprint and drawings.
    Load and test touch panels and control programs.
    Troubleshoot hardware cabling.
    Provide system testing and troubleshooting expertise on high-end A/V solutions as related to the remote control sub-systems of the integrated solutions.
    Provide training and training material, including advanced training for the technical support and services personnel and directs easy to understand basic training for the end-users of the systems.


    Requirements

    Required Experience

    At a minimum, 5 years of experience with troubleshooting videoconferencing, audio conferencing, and integrated A/V technologies in a large enterprise.
    At a minimum, 5 years of experience installing and troubleshooting Digital Media, BiAmp, Extron, Tandberg, Polycom, Crestron, Lutron, and corresponding hardware and software infrastructure.
    Familiarity with IT, telecommunications, A/V and electrical equipment including related materials and specifications.
    Detailed knowledge of videoconferencing standards.
    Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
    Administer ITSM / Service Now network ticket queue
    Crestron Digital Media Certification (preferred).
    Candidates are expected to have experience with all items listed above plus a higher level of customer service and social acumen in order to interface and communicate with executive level customers in a corporate environment. Additionally, the candidates should have some working knowledge of end user computing equipment such as Windows and Apple Mac laptops as well as Apple iOS mobile devices .

    Primary Skills

    Physically install network assets (i.e. switches, routers, firewalls, network tools & testing devices) in network closets and data center network cabinets including:Logically configure network switches and tools/testing devices.Complete patching of circuits into switches.Perform network closet clean-up, switch port optimization, and survey work as needed.Monitor and take appropriate action from network alerts generated from management tools.Perform advance Cisco switch configuration from command line layer 2 and layer 3 configurations involving expert knowledge of the Cisco IOS IN AN ENTERPRISE environment. This includes knowledge of HSRP, RPVST, EIGRP, BPDUs, Vlans, Trunks, and VTP. Working experience of at least 3 years of hands on.Advanced trouble shooting of complex switching problems for Spanning tree, vlans, ether channel and layer 3 routing protocols OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.Work with facilities for new build outs of office spaces and new site for Network cabling Fiber , cooper, power, cabinets, racks and data closets. Work on budgeting , pricing out quotes and comparing quotes from cabling / electrical venders. This will include interacting with the customer and venders on a daily basis.Over 3 years Working experience of Cisco Wireless support of WAPs and WLCs in lightweight mode running multiple SSIDs and WLANS.Advanced knowledge of Single mode, Multimode fiber , cooper cat 6 and other layer 1 cabling trouble shooting including use of TDR and Fluke testers.

    Data Center Tasks

    Coordinate with Data Center personnel to install components into existing equipment, install new equipment into racks, and make all cable connections for equipment delivered to the Data Center.
    Coordinate with Data Center personnel to move any equipment into, within, between, or out of supported Data Center facilities.
    Coordinate with Data Center personnel to un-rack, remove HDD’s, harvest critical components, and prepare for salvage any equipment that has reached end of life.
    Coordinate with AERO IT and Hosting Services Leads and Systems Analyst to harvest critical spare parts from surplus/salvage equipment. Maintain inventory of parts in a controlled environment; provide tracking and utilization reports.
    Provide vendor escort on the plant or in the data center for the delivery or servicing of equipment as needed.
    Respond to ITSM incident tickets, including on call / afterhours support.
    Work with Systems Administrator to diagnose issues and return to service failed server hardware.
    Work with System Admin, AERO Hosting Services, and OEM to use AERO IT existing part inventories, OEM provided spares, or Client Purchased parts to repair and return to service failed server hardware.
    Work with OEM to coordinate OEM repair activities (warranty or T&M) to include contacting the OEM and open incident, and coordinate OEM repair technician on-site arrival, temporary badging and escorting as needed.
    Communicate status and escalate as needed to minimize Return to Service time and meet incident response goals.
    Update ITSM on incident status timely. Coordinate with Data Center personnel to install components into existing equipment, install new equipment into racks, and make all cable connections for equipment delivered to the Data Center.
    Update Spares Inventory tracking tools as needed.


    Requirements

    Basic Overall Qualifications

    3-5 years of experience required as a Data Center Support Technician Level 2.
    Demonstrated strong verbal & written communication and organization skills.
    Technical knowledge of the specific products used in computing environment from primary suppliers
    Ability to lift 50 pounds to top of computer rack
    Ability to use basic hand tools to install / uninstall computing equipment into racks
    Able to use pallet jack, dollies, hand cart and other moving equipment
    Be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    Knowledge of Microsoft security patching methodologies and management products
    Demonstrated analytical capabilities to include complex problem solving skills
    Proven and demonstrated proficiency in daily server operations (e.g. account administration, file management, and print services administration) to include infrastructure security management
    Experience with personal computer support troubleshooting, imaging, networking experiences evidenced by related work history
    Experience with Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Object (GPO) Support
