Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fill in for all subordinate positions when needed and fulfill all jobs according to company standards and mission statement
Safely load, transport, and unload customer items in accordance with state and local laws
Assist Operations Manager/General Manager in all aspects of the operation
Assist Operations Manager/General Manager in all marketing initiatives
Cover Operations Manager/General Manager when needed
Attend all mandatory meetings, non-mandatory meetings and events when asked
Dispatch and track trucks when assigned to dispatch
Liaise with the Appointment center when needed
Drive profitability
Drive Safety
Drive customer service and address any negative feedback asap
Drive Lugger accountability and report any and all infractions accurately and expeditiously
Training all new hires
Assist with hiring and firing of employees
Assist with all reconciliation of paperwork, hours, and data in system
Ensure all trucks and equipment are in good working condition and are accounted for
Ensure all decisions made are in the company’s best interest

Must have a full understanding of all resource locations in current territory
Must have a full understanding of truck operation, care and general maintenance

If a driver, must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
Compensation
$15 Hourly + tips/bonus
We are looking for Luggers (a Driver and a Navigator) who are committed to safety and are also energetic, friendly and customer-centric. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.

Qualifications:
~ Valid FL driver license
~ High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities

~ Greet customers in a friendly and respectful manner, and explain our service and junk removal plan
~ Process payments and, where possible, upsell additional junk items
~ Safely load, transport, and unload customer items in accordance with state and local laws
~ Assist in training new hires as part of a team
~ Attend all mandatory training, meeting & events
~ Help maintain trucks and equipment
~ Be diligent about safety and promote a safety culture at the The Junkluggers
~ Embrace continuous improvement & implement new practices when asked
~ Support recruiting of new team members and promote company values Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
Competencies
~ Excellent interpersonal & communication skills are a must – this is a customer-facing role
~ Ability to learn and use technology in the field to execute job requirements, quickly & efficiently
~ Learn skills of both Navigator and Driver positions
~ Develop general understanding of resource locations in current territory (donation, recycling & disposal centers) and use them efficiently
~ Develop general understanding of truck operation, maintenance, and care
~ Exhibit a strong safety attitude & be assertive in following safety practices and other company policies
~ Expected to report infractions, accidents, or other issues to management Ability to work well as a team in the field and show potential for advancement Proven experience as a Driver
~ A polite and professional disposition
~ Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
Job Requirements
~ Position can be full or part time, but must be able to work in full-day increments including some Saturdays
~ Obtain & maintain valid FL driver license (CDL NOT required) and an acceptable motor vehicle record
~ Supply own mobile phone (company will provide tablets for on-the-job duties)
~ Pass background check & drug screen Ability to lift 75 lbs.
