We are looking for a collaborative and solutions-oriented Construction Manager to support the delivery of wastewater treatment projects that protect public health and strengthen community infrastructure. What You'll Do In this role, you will help guide construction-phase delivery for wastewater treatment projects while serving as a trusted connection between clients, contractors, operators, field observers, project managers, and design engineers. Lead construction support services for regional wastewater treatment projects. Serve as the primary point of contact and lead for treatment plant construction observers. Serve as the primary coordination link among owners, operations staff, contractors, field observers, project managers, and engineering team members to support successful project delivery. Track, facilitate, and resolve construction issues, including development and administration of change orders, change proposal requests, work change directives, field orders, and related documentation. Lead or support construction progress meetings with clients, contractors, and project team members. Review field progress, testing information, construction documentation, pay quantities, as-built records, and record drawings to support quality, accountability, and successful project delivery. Coordinate with project managers, discipline leaders, construction managers, and regional construction staff. Support construction observers working on wastewater treatment projects, promoting communication, consistency, technical quality, and professional development across the team. Work with the regional Construction Management Services regional lead and participate in construction coordination efforts to share lessons learned, improve delivery practices, and strengthen J-U-B's construction capabilities. Field Leadership Project Support Depending on project demands and staffing needs, this role may also provide direct field support for treatment facility projects. Successful candidates should be comfortable transitioning between construction management responsibilities and field-based assignments as needed, recognizing that supporting team success and meeting client needs may occasionally require stepping into a construction observation role. Responsibilities may include: Performing construction observation activities for treatment facility projects. Reviewing testing results, project records, contractor documentation, and construction quantities. Coordinating with utility companies, public agencies, property owners, and contractors. Supporting project compliance with applicable safety, labor, and regulatory requirements. Assisting project teams during periods of increased construction activity or observer staffing needs. This role may serve clients throughout northern Idaho and eastern Washington. While the position is anticipated to be primarily management-focused, project assignments may require frequent travel, field presence, and occasional short-term or extended overnight stays. Candidates should be comfortable working both in the office and in the field as project needs dictate. Requirements: What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Proven leadership, collaboration, communication, and consensus-building skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and lead project teams. Minimum 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment facility construction and construction management. Preferred Strengths Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. If successful candidate is a Professional Engineer, licensure in Idaho or Washington is preferred, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states as needed based on project assignments. Ten or more years of construction management experience. Experience in the planning, design, and analysis of water or wastewater treatment systems. Familiarity with industry-standard construction management and scheduling software such as Procore, Newforma, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
