    Collaborate with humanities teachers (English, History, and Religion) to plan appropriate push-in intervention support within the regular classroom setting. Support the classroom teachers with data collection to measure the effectiveness of the interventions. During daily "Office Hours" block, plan and provide small-group or individualized intervention. Meet with the Intervention Team weekly to analyze student data and plan next steps for intervention. Attend appropriate grade-team and department team meetings. Must have a desire for continuous learning about MTSS, best practice in intervention, and the Science of Reading. The goal is to assist struggling students in their first two years of high school. Diverse student population at this private Minneapolis High School (not a charter school).

    Details:
    English proficiency required and at least 2 years of English teaching experience in a classroom preferred.Teaching license not required.Ability to work with humanities teachers and build customized learning plans for students, in both classroom and individual settings. Tutor students in small groups and/or individually to improve students' reading, writing, and executive functioning skills and bring them closer to expected grade level.Participate in all professional development and all-school activities as part of the teaching community.Attention to detail and reporting; daily hours reporting + monthly progress reports for student and parent.Increase parental involvement in student success.Spanish speaking desired but not required.
    This is a Title funded position and works in concert with the school to use assessment data and classroom observations to identify students needing additional support to achieve grade level.

    Salary: $52,000 - $54,000 per year, DOE

    Start Date: August 10th, 2026
    Daily schedule: 7:25am - 3:05pm Monday-Friday

    Our 13-year-old is sweet, self-directed, and a good big brother. He likes Match, soccer, and playing the bass clarinet.

    You are patient, friendly, organized, and proactive. You enjoy connecting with school-aged children, encouraging creativity, and maintaining a calm and structured environment. You are punctual, communicative, and comfortable driving children in your personal vehicle.

    Job Duties:
    School pickup and transportation for children, prepare after-school snacks and simple dinners, homework support and routine guidance, encourage creative play and engaging activities, kids' laundry and light household tidying, clean up after meals and activities, washing dishes, support screen time boundaries and routines and occasional transportation to nearby activities

    Qualifications:
    5 years of childcare experience, CPR certified or willing to obtain, clean driving record and reliable vehicle, intermediate cooking skills, strong communication and time management skills, willing to take driving and drug screens if offered employment, and are comfortable enforcing screen time boundaries.

    Set yourself apart (Nice-to-haves):
    You have advanced cooking skills, wiould be willing to do some grocery shopping, and/or are bilingual (Spanish/English). Our kids went to a Spanish immersion school for several years so it would be great to keep up their Spanish skills.

    Schedule: Monday-Friday: 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM
    Start date: July 2026!

    Pay: $25-$30 an hour
