As an Optician, you will speak with patients to learn about their lifestyle and needs, take facial measurements, and help them pick out eyewear and contact lenses based on their specific requirements. You will also help them learn about their new products, explain pricing and insurance coverage (VSP + Eyemed), and follow all HIPPA and confidentiality regulations closely. The ideal candidate has exceptional customer service skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of an optometrist’s office.  

    Our office provides services for pediatric and adult patients. We also focus on providing care for patients with developmental delays, autism spectrum, concussion, stroke, and other neurological injuries. We frequently prescribed prism as well as tinted lenses to manage symptoms and aid patients in their rehabilitation process.

    Administrative Tasks: Responsibilities can include documenting therapy sessions, faxing reports to referring doctors and case managers, and other general office duties.
    The overall goal of the position is to help patients achieve a higher level of visual performance, which can lead to improvements in academic and sports abilities and general quality of life.
