Under the guidance of our Nursing Director, the nurse on duty is the go-to person for any medical related needs for clients who stay at Jill’s House.
Position Description/Responsibilities:
Administering medicationsManaging tube feedings Attending to injuries Responding to all medical emergencies.We keep 2-3 nurses on duty during the day and 1-2 nurses on duty during the night, for an average of 30 clients. Our primary program is held each weekend, while our School Night program runs a few nights per week. We offer many unique shift options that can fit into your life!

Training and professional development is provided so experience is not required.

Position Description/Responsibilities:
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled nurse to join our team in providing exceptional care to individuals and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As the on-duty nurse, you will be the primary contact for any medical needs during our respite program. Under the guidance of our Nursing Director and supported by our dedicated team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients. Camp Nurse for Children with Special Needs

Role Summary:
Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, the camp nurse (RN/LPN) works alongside the Weekend Adventures team from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and oversees all medical care for campers ages 6-17 with intellectual disabilities.
There is one nurse on site who oversees the medical care for an average of 10 campers throughout the weekend. The nurse works alongside our Local Program Manager, Direct Support Professionals, and Volunteers to ensure our campers stay safe while having fun. In addition to the medical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to assist our campers in activities such as hiking, low ropes courses, hayrides, craft time and even s'mores!
General Duties: Communicate with parents during check-in and check-outAdminister medications in a safe and timely mannerAttend to injuries and medical emergencies according to the guidelines provided by the nurse managerDocument within EMR systemAnticipate medical/nursing care problems and provide solutions Assist with ADLs as needed

Position Overview:
We are looking for Overnight Direct Support Professionals to join our team to work weekends at camp with incredible campers with intellectual disabilities from Chicagoland and Southeastern WI. While their diagnosis might keep them from a typical camp experience, Direct Support Professionals assist to tailor weekend adventures just for them at Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva, WI. While campers enjoy a weekend full of activities, their families get time for rest, renewal, and relationships. The rhythm of respite is vital to our families, so camp runs year-round, about every other month.
The Overnight Direct Support Professional joins us all weekend at camp from Friday to Sunday and is responsible for: Ensuring the safety of all campers throughout the nightCompleting bed checks every hour for about 10 campers.Assisting with activities of daily living (i.e., toileting, showering, feeding, brushing teeth, etc.)Managing behaviors and redirect campers when behaviors arise.Completing camper documentation and adhere to Jill’s House policies and procedures.
