Supervise and lead aerial and underground fiber construction crews.Coordinate daily work assignments, manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure project milestones are achieved.Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA, company policies, customer requirements, and industry standards.Conduct regular field visits to monitor production, workmanship, quality, and safety.Coach, mentor, and develop field employees while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.Review construction prints, utility maps, permits, and project documentation to ensure crews are executing work accurately.Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Dispatch, Utilities, Municipalities, and Customer Representatives throughout each project.Track daily production, labor hours, equipment utilization, and project progress.Ensure proper restoration of work sites and maintain positive relationships with customers and property owners.Identify project risks and quickly resolve operational issues that may impact timelines or budgets.Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job site inspections.Assist with employee performance evaluations, hiring, onboarding, and training.Verify completed work meets customer quality standards prior to project closeout.Maintain accurate production reports, safety documentation, and project records.Qualifications3+ years of telecommunications fiber construction experience.Previous experience leading construction crews or supervising field operations.Strong knowledge of aerial and underground fiber construction methods.Experience reading construction drawings, utility prints, and project specifications.Working knowledge of fiber optic installation practices, utility locating, and restoration requirements.Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional evenings or weekends, based on project needs.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Preferred QualificationsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 CertificationExperience supporting Comcast, Charter, Cox, Google Fiber, or other major telecommunications providersKnowledge of NESC construction standardsExperience with directional boring, trenching, aerial strand and lash, and fiber splicing operationsExperience using production reporting and project management softwarePhysical RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Ability to walk uneven terrain and active construction sites.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to climb ladders and work around aerial construction when necessary.Ability to travel between multiple job sites as required.About CUI Cable ServicesCommunications Unlimited, Inc. Previous cable, fiber, or broadband installation experience requiredComfortable working with tools, technology, and hands-on problem solvingAbility to lift up to 80 lbs. and work at heights (ladders up to 30 ft.)Willingness to work indoors/outdoors in varying conditionsValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass background check, MVR, and drug screeningFlexible schedule, including weekendsMinimum age: 23What You Get
