High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in HR, business administration, or related field preferredStrong organizational and filing skills with high attention to detailThis is a part-time, maximum 29 hours per week hourly position with no benefits. Ensure excellent customer service is provided to all guests and members entering the JCC.Serve as a subject matter expert and maintain up to date knowledge on all JCC programs, promotions, events, and facilities.Follow customer service standards and enforce agency policies and procedures.Be the “go to person” for members with updates on programs of the J, changes, closures and building activities.Answer members’ questions, resolve any issues they encounter.Offer tours and maintain the highest level of knowledge pertaining to the facilities and programs.MEMBER ENGAGEMENT:
Build a conversation rapport with members to ensure the correct service is being provided to the members. Learn how to use the agency wide systems, contribute, and help members on the systems.Provide customer service for members on their renewals, payment updates, program participation, JCC accounts, My J App accounts and related tools.Contact new members to ensure they are satisfied with their membership and solicit feedback.With the directions from the Customer Relations Manager, contact members periodically to check on their JCC experience, celebrate their birthdays and other matters.MANAGER ON DUTY:
Be the point of contact in reporting emergencies to the management team outside of office business hours (before 8am and after 6pm)Open and/or close the facility fulfilling the duties on the opening and closing check listTake care of all member related matters that may arise outside of office business hoursWELCOME DESK REQUIREMENTS:
Have a professional appearance, manner, tone, and attitude.Extend a pleasant welcome to everyone that enters the building. Take the initiative to become proficient in agency systems to guide members.Keep any area in the line of sight clean and clutter free. Keep personal phone usage at a minimum and focus on members and guests (no earbuds)Have proficiency in all Microsoft Office Programs; Intermediate Excel required.Must be a problem solver.Take initiative and require little supervision.The Member Service Representative will be a collaborator as part of the JCC Professional Staff. He/she must be aware of the JCC Mission Statement and work within the frameworks of that mission. Responsibilities of the job may change as the needs of the JCC and/or community change.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Coach for the gymnastics program, adhering to our gymnastics instructor guidelines. This includes classes, team, break programs, summer camp, late nights, & special events. Assist with leading activities when directors are unavailable, & sub as needed.
· Team coaching includes taking gymnasts to competitions and having the ability to coach compulsories through early optionals (Levels 1-3 and Xcel).
· Set up & clean up equipment on a daily basis for classes and teams.
· Assist with training new employees.
· Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the gymnastics area, and submit maintenance & housekeeping requests. Do safety checks and make recommendations for new equipment as needed.
· Assist directors with the planning, implementation, & day to day tasks of all gymnastics programs (Preschool to Adult).
· Participate in training sessions and attend mandatory meetings as scheduled.
· Provide excellent customer service & help to create and maintain a welcoming and professional environment.
· Regular, predictable attendance is required.
ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS:
· Work effectively with parents and staff to develop and maintain parents’ confidence in the staff and program, including collecting information and preparing reports and correspondence as needed.
· Support and fully participate in the culture of the organization. Be available for special assignments including assisting other departments with JCC events.
· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
· College degree preferred.
· Strong background in gymnastics (coaching experience through early option is required).
· Experience working with preschool children through teenagers.
· Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
· Able to work in a fast-paced & changing environment.
· Must be innovative, imaginative, energetic, and a positive role model and strive to provide the best possible programs for participants.
· Be consistent and reliable in arrival and attendance to assure the proper operation of the program.
· Must have a proven track record of utilizing good judgment and decision-making skills to be able to work independently.
· Ability to prepare age and skill-appropriate lessons.
· Must be physically able to spot gymnasts safely and confidently, and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds & move heavy matting and equipment.
· Must be flexible with work schedule and available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and whenever necessary in order to deliver programs. Weekly hours will vary depending on scheduled events.
· Current American Red Cross First Aid, CPR & AED certificates or ability to obtain certification.
