The Opportunity:
We are looking for an individual to fit an Apprentice role to help us improve processes and procedures that will ensure high quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for working as a part of a crew to remove gas furnaces, install electric heat pump systems, and collaborate with engineering teams on how the product can be improved and the install process streamlined.

As one of our first boots on the ground in California, you won't just be running wire: you'll be helping us build the playbook. You'll work alongside a tight-knit install team to remove gas furnaces, bring in electric heat pump systems, and collaborate directly with our engineering team to sharpen our process and push our product forward. What You'll Do:
Install all electrical infrastructure required to support heat pump systems — done right, on every jobPerform load calculations and design code-compliant solutions that actually work in the real worldUpgrade main electrical panels as needed, including smart panels, splitters, and sub-panel configurationsPull permits and own the inspection process end-to-end across CA jurisdictionsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagramsTroubleshoot electrical issues on-site and perform necessary repairs with speed and precisionCoordinate with HVAC install crews and collaborate across trade lines to keep jobs moving efficientlyPerform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and flag issues before they become problemsTest electrical systems for functionality, performance, and code complianceSpot recurring inefficiencies in the install process and bring solutions to the teamMaintain strict compliance with NEC and local electrical codesWhat You Bring:
Master Electrician license with the ability to pull permits across California jurisdictionsDeep residential install experience, including service upgrades, panel work, and large load additions (heat pumps, EV chargers, etc.)Fluency in modern panel technology — smart panels (Span, Leviton, Schneider, etc.), splitters, and sub-panel configurationsStrong working knowledge of the California Electrical Code, NEC, and Title 24 energy compliance requirementsAbility to perform accurate load calculations using standard and optional methodsComfort working in older homes and navigating the surprises that come with legacy wiringExperience coordinating with HVAC crews or working on multi-trade jobsSolid troubleshooting instincts — you diagnose problems methodically and fix them cleanlyPhysical stamina for hands-on residential install workValid driver's licenseNice to Have:
