The director of construction will spearhead Jennings Construction's future growth that will include clients others than Parmer Development. Job Summary: The Director of Construction will lead our construction operations, overseeing all aspects of building and development processes. This executive will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards (Conformance to Requirements). This role requires strong leadership skills and extensive experience in construction management, particularly in large high-intensity projects. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations. Negotiate terms of agreements, work with attorney to draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses. Direct and supervise construction personnel and activities onsite. Monitor compliance with construction budget and project specifications. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques. Manage and mitigate risks associated with construction. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field. Proven working experience in construction supervision/management or a similar role. (5+years)($25mil+ in completed projects) Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards. Familiarity with construction management software packages. Ability to plan and see the "big picture". Competent in conflict and crisis management. Excellent time and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related field. LEED certified Professional certification in Project Management. Experience in sustainable development and green building practices.
