    General Responsibilities

    Perform installation and maintenance tasks in order to ensure the effective operation of various electrical equipment and systems in commercial and industrial buildings and environments.

    Key Tasks

    Completing installations, following manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprintsComplete maintenance on electrical equipmentBe able to read blue prints, and electrical drawings and install to NEC code as specified


    Technical Skills

    Maintain accurate records on assignmentsOperate and maintain a variety of equipment and toolsUnderstand and carry out oral and written instructionsObserve safety requirements and safe work practices and methods as requiredAbility to navigate and operate smart phones and company provided iPad.


    Certifications & Licenses Required

    Valid State Certification Journeyman ElectricianValid class C California driver’s license, and good driving record

    Indoor, office environment and outdoor environment, with climate changes.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    Performance of electrical duties in connection with a wide variety of building alterations, maintenance, and repair projectsInstallations and/or modifications of electrical systems for the purpose of provided upgraded electrical capabilitiesInstallations, relocations, and maintenance of building wiring, circuits, switches, transformers, and controlsInstallations of necessary interior and exterior wiring for equipment and appliances such as computers, test and lab equipment, pumps, lighting, motors, and service disconnectsReplace lighting, lamps, and ballastsAdjust, install, service, test, repair, and maintain electrical lighting, power, fixtures, meters, outlets, plugs, fans, outdoor lighting receptacles, and motion sensorsReplaces defective equipment parts for the purpose of maintaining safe operations conditions; uses various testing equipment to locate problems and makes necessary adjustmentsCommunicate effectively orally, in writing, and electronicallyOperate and maintain equipment such as company vehicles, lifts, forklifts, etc.; will use laddersRead and work from blueprints, technical manuals, charts, and schematicsPerform other related duties as assigned

    About the Role

    Jemby Electric is looking for an Commercial/Industrial Electrical Technician to support service projects across the Bay Area. This role is ideal for someone who prioritizes quality workmanship, communicates professionally, and can manage tasks efficiently in the field. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and project execution. This position requires someone who is dependable, solutions-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining strong communication with the office and field team. You will work on a range of commercial and industrial electrical projects including service upgrades, equipment installations, etc. The ideal candidate understands how to work safely, stay organized, and deliver a high level of service while representing the company professionally on-site.

     

    What You’ll Do

    Perform safe and accurate electrical installationsFollow all safety protocols and job site proceduresRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematicsMaintain clear and effective communication with team members and clientsTrack work progress and report updates regularlyAssist with job planning and material organizationIdentify potential issues in the field and recommend practical solutionsMaintain organized job sites, tools, vehicles, and company equipmentUphold Jemby’s commitment to high-quality work and client satisfaction

     

    What We’re Looking For
