The DME Coordinator coordinates and arranges DME (Durable Medical Equipment) for patients, addressing when needed with referring Physician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates and arranges medically necessary equipment for patients Serves as a liaison with patients, Physicians, DJ Staff, Athletic Trainers, Site Coordinators, Practice Managers and clinical professional staff.Under the direct supervision of the Physician, administers DME products to patients as allowed by applicable laws and regulations.Maintains inventory of DME and supplies.Reports any issues to Administrator/Site Coordinator/Practice Manager.Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Center.Assists Administrator/Site Coordinator as needed.Participates in all clinical in-service activities.Participates in committee activities as assigned.Makes themselves available to other staff when not involved in own duties.Participates in departmental and interdepartmental education programs as requested by the Administrator.Performs month end DME duties per DME manual.May assist Physician as requested specifically by the Physician.Orients and provides in-services as directed by the Administrator.Communicates, cooperates and gives assistance in a prompt and courteous manner to patients, co-workers, and medical staff to ensure “client satisfaction” with the service of the DME Program.Assist the Administrator/Site Coordinator as follows but not limited to: Quality Assurance, Utilization Review, Program Evaluation, Infection Control and Safety Committee activities.Supervises other DME employees.Position Requirements
At least 1 year of DME experience is required.Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent in training and experience preferred.Knowledge of reimbursement guidelines, medical terminology, and DME billing codes preferred.Computer proficient, including skills necessary to learn and utilize EMR software.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks.Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines.Working Conditions

The Front Desk specialist serves as the receptionist and performs all related clerical and administrative functions according to current practices and established procedures.
Office Location: Baptist Beaches clinic, 1577 Roberts Dr. Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250
Schedule: Monday - Friday/40 hours/week; hours can range from 7:15a - 5:30p.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet patients and determine the nature of their visit, i.e. appointment, prescription pick up, etc.Responsible for checking patients in and out for their scheduled appointments. Collect and update current demographic and insurance information. Verify insurance participation and obtain necessary referralsCollect all applicable co-pays or patient balances and maintain a cash journal. Schedule patient appointments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with orthopedic physicians and physician assistants to coordinate the care and needs of patients.Assist with clerical duties such as completing forms and charting.Check physician schedules and prepare charts for needed test results.Organize patient flow to keep physician on schedule.Assist patients to exam room, collect patient history, and conduct screening per physician guidelines.Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.Answer patient phone calls and give instructions at the direction of the physician.Document phone calls and prescription refills.Maintain clean exam rooms and instruments following infection control guidelines.Follow bio-hazardous waste standards.Restock exam rooms and maintain medical supplies.Follow universal precautions when assisting with patient care.Maintain strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.Clerical and computer duties are required to complete forms and charting.Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements
