    About the Role:

    As a CBRE, Government & Defense Services Commercial Cleaning Lead, you are responsible for overseeing the work activities of cleaners within the site. You will supervise the staff responsible for ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients.

    What You’ll Do:

    Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks and cross-train staff.Schedule daily staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.Check cleaning equipment condition. Order cleaning supplies as needed. Ensure supplies are in a safe, secure area always.Coordinate and liaise with clients and employees. Handle complaints and feedback.Inform the team of requests and confirm completion. Inspect work done by cleaners and submit daily cleanliness reports.Initiate regular training on procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.Ensure standardized cleaning process meets company standards.Provide daily cleaning support to private areas of the building designated as needed.Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.May establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.Has a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE-GDS values.

    What You’ll Need:

    High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.Requires the ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset

    Minimum of three (3) years’ experienceAbility to perform most complex and unusual tasks of the craft without supervision.Must be able to read and understand blueprints, construction drawings, schematics and diagrams as they pertain to the craft.Ability to perform work of the craft in a rapid and efficient manner under extreme conditions.Must be able to perform work safely under hazardous conditions.Able to troubleshoot and repair most complex problems.Expert knowledge of craft theory and craft materials with the ability to apply the theory and select the proper materials.Trained in all types and sizes of air conditioning refrigeration and evaporative cooling equipment.Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification to purchase and handle ozone depleting chemical as outlined in federal and state regulations.Steam boiler knowledge is a must for this position.

    Working Conditions

    Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    About the Role:

    As a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner, you will be responsible for basic cleaning duties. This includes mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of your assigned areas.

    What You’ll Do:

    Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor.Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.Dust furniture, walls, and equipment which includes moving and rearranging furniture.Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.Ensure that cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure area at all times.
