Job Description:
SUMMARY
Reporting to the District or Branch Manager, the Service Manager will provide support and leadership to the branch and to individual service technicians by providing coaching and training on commercial food equipment, procedures, and techniques as well as customer facing skillsets. The Service Manager will also be required to support and enforce all company policies and guidelines required by Hobart Service and assist the District/Branch Manager in the adherence and tracking of these policies. The Service Manager is accountable for assisting in leading and directing their assigned branch operations to achieve ongoing service revenue growth, profitability, productivity, quality, and service levels. This position will be responsible for assisting the management and administration in general business operations for their branch, as it relates to Technicians and Customer experience. They will work closely and collaborate with other Branch operation personnel (Dispatch, Parts, Administration) to achieve the highest level of Customer Satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing, maintaining, and managing a highly technical field service team
Support technicians by assisting with installations, preventative maintenance, warranty and post-warranty support, emergency visits, etc.
Providing coaching and training on products, procedures, service repair techniques, and customer service
Meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction results
Talent development
Increasing employee retention and engagement levels
Responsible for 1 cost center, and 8-15 direct reports. Span of control is between 8-15 employees.

The Parts and Service Coordinator will coordinate parts and service inquiries; may deal with customer and/or internal service inquiries for parts, including identification, provide part numbers and availability. Processes orders for parts and assists with scheduling techs for service and billing for service. Will maintain a parts inventory and may process warranty claims. Role could be performed by an employee with a minimum of a high school education or equivalent and one year of experience.

This position will be working in-office from a single shift manufacturing site located in Troy, OH, about 20 minutes north of Dayton.
The Warewash and Waste Division produces Hobart, Stero, and Somat brand commercial dishwashers and waste equipment for use in hotels, casinos, restaurants, health care, cruise ships, schools and universities and retail.
This position reports to the Plant Manager and plays a key role in driving quality excellence in the production of Plant 27’s Flight Type Dishwashers. The role is responsible for executing test campaigns, supporting the manufacturing, assembly and testing of the dishwasher, and continuously improving quality programs, systems, procedures, and work instructions in alignment with quality standards and methodologies. This individual will lead efforts to resolve daily manufacturing challenges, troubleshoot/resolve product issues, perform root cause and corrective action activities and implement strategic projects. Key responsibilities include overseeing the Flight Type Dishwasher’s final test, resolving issues in the test process, conducting internal and out-of-box audits, and supporting a culture of operational excellence to maintain world-class quality standards throughout the facility.
Responsibilities (80% Core Essential Functions)
Responsible for executing final testing including troubleshooting and resolutionLead on-site team during test execution, managing responsibilities, to ensure successful test executionSupport manufacturing with product test procedures, test equipment, and specific quality requirements for product functionality. Support and develop part inspection plans, testing & reliability plans, and reporting for new products and modifications to existing products. Verify that reliability, safety, and quality are unaffected. Support programs to identify, target, and analyze product failures to reduce warranty costs. Conduct pilot/production audits of new products Provide guidance in development and maintenance of quality systems including direct ownership in (UL, NSF) and warranty reduction. Establishes an effective quality assurance program and communicates policies, procedures, and guidelines. Conducts periodic audits to ensure that procedures are appropriately set and are being followed. Effectively prevents or resolves problems and implements corrective action within the plant as needed. Assures that products and parts conform to specification requirements and establishes appropriate records to verify quality and track results. Specifically support manufacturing through provisions of receiving, in-process, final inspection and test procedures and equipment. Interface and coordinate with Marketing, Engineering, Service, Purchasing, and external customers and other functional groups for smooth implementation of quality plans, procedures, and requirements for quality assurance organization by resolving quality issues and sustaining customer satisfaction. Ensure that procedures, drawings, and instructions are in place and being followed and evidenced by a regular audit program of the quality system. Effectiveness of problem solving or corrective action efforts within the plant; measured by timeliness, product integrity and overall implementation cost. General Duties:
Answer all incoming telephone service requests and record all pertinent information on Call Sheet (F-1675) or on computer.
Dispatch calls, using the Call Sheet or computer to supply information needed by Service Tech, and for determining priorities to be assigned to service calls.
Clear calls when complete service tickets are received from Service Techs.
Maintain follow up system for parts ordered by Service Techs to ensure complete customer satisfaction per company policies and guidelines.
Check service tickets received from Service Techs for proper extensions and correctness, including checking for inspections due.
Be responsible for filing (F-595) Service Tickets numerically.
Type and/or maintain Inspection List, Automatic Scale/Wrapper and General Line.
Update and maintain files (computer or manual) from the monthly active installation list change notices.
Maintain (F-1610) File of Equipment. This could include calling customers concerning estimates for overhauls, prices for new equipment, and completion of services.
If in a manual office, prepare Productivity Reports. This could include maintaining a "No Charge" file for management's reference when analyzing Productivity Reports.
Assign service tickets to Service Techs.
Transfer incomplete service calls, including all pertinent information, to the (F-1675) Call Sheet or assign proper status in the computer for the following day.
Perform other clerical functions, as necessary, such as assisting with tracking of consignment, assisting walk-in customers, shipping/receiving, handling phone calls for supervisor, etc.
Perform various job duties in the parts are, as needed.
Train or cross train other employees as requested.
Interface with a Branch computer if available.
Follow up on completed service calls to verify customer satisfaction and promote service contracts.
