    Requirements

    Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrical General Foreman, with a solid understanding of industrial electrical systems. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a single industrial site. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Willingness and capability to perform hands-on electrical work as needed. Experience in mentoring and guiding Foremen, Journeymen, and Apprentices to support workforce development. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints; able to assist in project planning and ordering material.     The Electrical Designer/CAD Draftsperson positions require them to draft detailed drawings for our organization. The responsibilities include understanding written and verbal instructions, drafting technical drawings, implementing feedback from engineers and designers, visiting sites, keeping up to date with CAD software, and working hours necessary to meet deadlines. You should be able to explain technical aspects clearly to both the team and the client.

    Responsibilities

    This position is required to be highly knowledgeable of various CAD software formats. Ability to develop the required Electrical Distribution and Design documents necessary for heavy industrial systems based on direction provided by others. Desired skills and abilities include: Developing technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software, written and oral communication skills, ability to plan and organize work, ability to identify potential problems, ability to troubleshoot existing problems, withstand constructive criticism, ability to work with others in a team environment or individually, ability to work overtime and travel when necessary.

    Interpreting project design directives provided by clients, engineers, and designers to ensure all drawings are completed as required.Develop technical drawings using CAD software.Visiting sites to gather information and determine limitations and feasibility of designs.Remaining professional when feedback is delivered, and implementing any changes to drafts as soon as possible.Ensuring drawings are compliant with codes and standards.Communicating potential design issues to engineers and senior designers.Conducting research when required.

    Requirements

    Technical degree in drafting or similar.Additional courses in CAD software.Practical experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc).Experience with Revit 3D modeling software will be a plusTechnical design skillsKnowledge of engineering and construction.Strong communication skills and attention to detail.Superb work ethic and ability to accept feedback.Willingness to work overtime when required.Proficient in MS Word/ExcelProfessional appearanceAbility to work on job sites gathering information.     Overview

    As a Controls Engineer at ITAC, you will play a key role in the design and implementation of electrical & control systems for a variety of projects in industries such as power generation, pulp & paper, utilities, chemicals, food & beverage, and more. With our multidisciplinary approach, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from different disciplines and different regions of the US to develop innovative design-build solutions that exceed client expectations.

    Responsibilities

    Controls & Automation Engineering

    Program, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Rockwell Allen-Bradley PLCs and associated control systems.Develop, modify, and optimize PLC ladder logic, control strategies, and automation solutions.Design and support HMI and SCADA applications for industrial processes.Maintain automation software backups and control system documentation.Troubleshoot and resolve PLC, HMI, communications, instrumentation, and control system issues.Support startup, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and automation systems.

    Electrical Systems Design

    Develop electrical and controls engineering documentation, including: I/O Lists and DrawingsLoop DiagramsMotor Elementary DrawingsConduit and Cable SchedulesPanel SchedulesPower Distribution DiagramsControl Panel LayoutsEquipment SpecificationsInterpret and work from P&IDs, General Arrangements, Equipment Lists, and process documentation.Assist with the design and specification of: Motor Control Centers (MCCs)Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Industrial Control PanelsElectrical Distribution SystemsSupport electrical equipment upgrades, installations, and modernization projects.

    Process Improvement & Reliability

    Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.Analyze equipment and process data to improve reliability, productivity, and operational performance.Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to implement automation improvements.Improve alarm management, reporting systems, and operator interfaces.Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.Support planned outages, shutdowns, and maintenance activities.

    Project Support

    Participate in the planning and execution of controls and electrical projects.Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and plant personnel.Support project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.Conduct testing, commissioning, and field verification activities.Perform quality reviews of engineering work and documentation.

    Requirements

    Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or electrical engineering.Hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting Rockwell Allen-Bradley PLCs is required.Experience developing PLC ladder logic and supporting industrial control systems.Working knowledge of HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial networking.Experience with AC/DC motors, drives, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systems.Understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, and industrial automation documentation.Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, or Modbus.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work in both office and industrial plant environments.
