Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOakland Clinical is hiring a Research Nurse (RN or LVN+IV) to work with our team of clinicians on studies of investigational drugs that are infused into study participants. Oakland Clinical is a part of Irvine Clinical Network, the largest independent clinical trial group on the West Coast. We are the leading West Coast group in neurology (specifically Alzheimer's Disease treatment and prevention studies); we also conduct trials in psychiatry and obesity medicine.Job DutiesAdminister study drug per protocol for several research trials, especially IV infusion studies in older adultsMonitor post-dose participant safety per protocolCheck vitals, perform EKGs, or perform blood draws as neededProduce attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, accurate, and complete study dataPerform study procedures in accordance with GCP and study protocolsJob RequirementsValid California nursing license (RN). Alternatively, valid LVN + infusion therapy certifications are acceptable.Demonstrated skill in IV insertion, maintenance, and removalAttention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks with precisionA command of professional spoken and written English
Hours and CompensationThis is a full-time employment position based in-person at our clinic next to Alta Bates Summit in Oakland. It is on the 11th floor of a large, safe medical building with transit access, a multi-story parking garage, and beautiful views of the bay. We have five clinics throughout California, but this is our first site in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The starting salary for this position is $83,200 per year or $40 per hour.
