Duties/Responsibilities
The Professional Support Specialist (Medical Receptionist) duties will include completing medical, communication, and professional support tasks that are in need of additional support. This position will require the individual to fulfill the role of a third intake specialist. This involves being responsible for all necessary supporting financial documents and updates. You will be required to be secondary in availability and competent with managing clinic flow, to successfully respond as a backup phone receptionist, and primary on relapse autopsy and ACS communication. The duties will include DAL coverage, treatment schedule adjustment, and sweat patch report coverage. In reference to medical support she will be the third in line for drug patch applications and will; be considered secondary on completing UDS when needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Clinical Manager of Substance Use Services provides strategic clinical and operational leadership for the organization's substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and psychoeducation programs. Reporting directly to the Deputy Operations Officer, this position is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services through individual, group, and interdisciplinary treatment interventions.
The Clinical Manager ensures clinical excellence by promoting best practices, maintaining regulatory and contractual compliance, improving program outcomes, and fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, and continuous quality improvement. This position serves as a member of the leadership team and partners closely with organizational leadership to advance IPS mission while ensuring exceptional client care and operational performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all substance use disorder and psychoeducation services, ensuring treatment aligns with evidence-based practices and established standards of care.
Promote the delivery of individualized, trauma-informed, person-centered treatment that supports recovery, engagement, and long-term success.
Provide consultation and clinical guidance regarding treatment planning, relapse prevention, documentation, crisis intervention, and complex clinical cases.
Ensure clinical decision-making reflects ethical standards, professional practice guidelines, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Program Operations
Direct the daily operations of assigned substance use treatment programs to ensure effective, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
Monitor productivity, program performance, clinical outcomes, and operational metrics while implementing strategies to improve performance.
Evaluate workflows and operational processes to maximize efficiency, improve client access, and strengthen program effectiveness.
Collaborate with executive leadership to establish strategic priorities and implement initiatives that enhance program growth and service quality.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, licensing requirements, accreditation standards, organizational policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Conduct regular clinical observations and documentation reviews to ensure accuracy, clinical quality, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
Identify documentation deficiencies, develop corrective action plans, and provide ongoing coaching to improve clinical documentation practices.
Monitor quality indicators and utilize data to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Staff Supervision & Professional Development
Provide direct supervision, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for assigned clinical staff.
Conduct regular supervision sessions that support clinical competency, ethical practice, and professional growth.
Complete employee evaluations, performance improvement plans, and corrective action when necessary.
Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning for clinical personnel.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and psychologically safe work environment that encourages continuous learning and professional excellence.
Collaboration & Leadership
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive treatment services and address barriers to care.
Serve as a liaison between executive leadership and clinical teams by communicating organizational priorities, policy updates, and operational expectations.
Participate in leadership meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and organizational committees.
Prepare reports, performance dashboards, and recommendations regarding staffing, service utilization, quality outcomes, compliance trends, and program performance.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
Fully licensed behavioral health professional in the State of Texas (LPC, LCSW, RN, APRN, LCDC, Licensed Psychologist, or other qualifying independent license).
Minimum of three (1) years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment.
Demonstrated experience supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Thorough knowledge of behavioral health documentation standards, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance practices.
Experience utilizing evidence-based treatment models including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relapse Prevention, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and trauma-informed care.
Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation compliance monitoring.
Preferred
Experience within specialty courts, community mental health, or criminal justice behavioral health settings.
Experience with utilization management, program development, performance improvement, and accreditation readiness.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Communication Management:
Handle and prioritize email and phone communications with IPS Recovery's partners.Ensure timely and professional responses to inquiries, requests, and follow-ups.Serve as the primary point of contact for our partners, addressing their inquiries and providing timely responses to their needs. Utilize your knowledge of our services and treatment options to offer accurate information and guidance to partners, ensuring they are well-informed and supported.Data Management:

The Hospital Psychiatric Clinician’s primary role is to provide therapeutic interventions to patients, including psychotropic medication management, psychosocial rehabilitation, skill building, linkage to community resources, rapport building, and relapse prevention planning. The Hospital Psychiatric Clinician will play a key role in the psychiatric admission process, completing comprehensive assessments for admitting patients and supporting appropriate level-of-care determinations. As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Hospital Psychiatric Clinician will engage with clients in clinic-based and community-based settings and work closely with the Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team and the Assistant Clinical Manager to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. The clinician will utilize DSM-5 criteria and clinical expertise to make accurate diagnoses, develop initial treatment plans, and complete ongoing treatment plan reviews based on patient needs. The Hospital Psychiatric Clinician will maintain a strong focus on completing ANSA assessments accurately and within required timeframes to support treatment planning and program requirements. Additionally, the clinician will oversee the FACT secondary team lead, providing clinical guidance and supporting effective team coordination. The Hospital Psychiatric Clinician will provide individual psychoeducational and therapeutic interventions using didactic and directive approaches, collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to improve patient symptomology, and ensure all required clinical documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related human services field.
Reliable transportation
Current Driver’s License
3+ years of similar experience
