Job Responsibilities and Requirements Responsibilities: As a member of a small team, you will be enabled to leverage company resources, validate new automated equipment assumptions, and dive into customer problems. You will also be responsible for designing and developing early electromechanical prototypes to test technical limitations. Utilizing market research and product development you will be expected to outline technical feasibility in support or opposition of the new ideas and technologies. All team members are expected to produce a weekly report on progress and next steps. Product Design, Ideation, and Prototype Creation: Engage in creative thinking and problem solving. Conceptualize, develop, and launch new prototypes. Iterate on product designs based on testing and feedback. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, sales, product management, and marketing, to progress work and utilize resources efficiently. Coordinate available resources and manage third-party vendors. Ensure seamless hand off to product development for a timely delivery to the market. Business Strategy and Profitability: Balance cost, quality, and time-to-market to create products that are not only functional but also profitable. Collaborate with idea generators to elaborate on concepts and value. Qualifications / Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering. Proven experience (6+ years) in equipment design. 6+ years combined experience in engineering to value and technical ownership. Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently. Excellent communication (verbal/written) and relationship management skills. Willingness to travel 10-20%. Mostly domestic, some international. Nice-to-Have: Experience rapidly prototyping equipment. Preferable experience in Electromechanical equipment. Job Responsibilities and Requirements Responsibilities: * Create and execute thorough test plans and document all results in a clear and organized report which can be shared with and comprehended by all team members from engineers to account managers * Execute equipment testing in support of many teams, including Product Centric Development Teams, Systems Integration Team, Market Leading Team, Design and Engineer to Order Teams (ETO/ DTO) * Maintenance of database of historical documentation of testing results. * Develop jigs, fixtures, software, and processes that strategically increase testing capabilities and efficiencies * Find and develop capabilities of AI to increase efficiency in the Test Engineer workspace * Review and collaborate with teammates on test plans and test reports * Document Standard Operating Procedures for standardized tests * Maintain ownership of the testing order of operations while working in a cross functional development team * Become a technical and subject matter expert on applicable technologies during development process to drive innovation * Support, develop and promote modular plastic belting and equipment through application specific testing. * Provide 2D/3D design support to design engineer team for design of new test equipment and products for test/prototype applications.
