    Hours will between 6:45p-7:15a

    The B Operator position is responsible for safely manufacturing resin batches which meet customer quality requirements by executing job functions as specified in plant/batch procedures and training.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Follow batch cards to weigh additives and compound resin batches in thinning kettles or blend tanks Make resin transfers from vessel to vessel per the batch card through the computer control system. Load/operate tank trucks and package materials into containers for shipment Operate forklifts and pallet jacks Participate in PSM related reviews (hazard analyses, safety review, etc.) Double check accuracy of batch cards and input batch information into computer system Work independently and perform duties with minimal supervision Make suggestions that improve safety, quality and productivity Perform other duties as assigned by management Punctuality and regularity of attendance are job requirementsMaintain a clean work environment and perform housekeeping duties as required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    High school diploma or equivalent General or chemical manufacturing experience is a plus Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must have ability to learn to drive a yard dog/tanker truck on site premises Must have ability to learn to drive a forklift and learn how to a pallet jack Must have the ability to learn computer and process control systems. Good reading and math skills, able to make simple calculations and follow written procedures Must be able to wear proper safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel toe boots, respirator masks, dust mask, fire resistant clothing, neoprene/latex gloves and hard hats Ability to hear to a variety of warning sounds such as fire alarm, forklift horns, kettle alarms, etc. Willingness to stand and work on feet and not afraid of heights Ability to work with and around a variety of chemicals

    Maintenance Mechanic

    6:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday – Friday

    This role involves a rotating on-call commitment, typically one week per rotation, which includes evening and weekend coverage.

    What you can expect as a Maintenance Mechanic at Fort Wright:

    Safety - Follow safety rules and, make safety suggestions and encourage safe practices in the workplace. Responsible for making repairs and improvements that comply with Process Safety Management and Management of Change. Resolve assigned work orders, and update work order status in database systemTroubleshoot machinery, piping issues, and control circuits, instrumentation/controls. Make necessary repairs and replace parts as needed and perform preventative maintenance tasks in a timely mannerCommunication - Clearly communicate repair status and safety concerns to production, maintenance, and plant personnel through various communication methods, including verbal briefings and email.Teamwork - Work effectively with the maintenance and production teamsObtain quotes from approved vendors as needed to assist in the completion of work orders

    What we’re looking for in the ideal candidate:

    Ability to use internal computer software to receive work orders and report completion as well as details:3+ years of experience and knowledge in the following areas:Preventive maintenance of process equipment (i.e. boiler, air compressors, cooling tower).Repair and adjustments for standard drive equipment, such as motors and pumps.Demonstrable understanding of instrumentation/controls.Basic pipe fitting skills (threaded pipe, soldered fittings, PVC piping). Welding skills a plus.Strong electrical and instrumentation skills required to perform basic electrical repairs, including motor and fuse replacement.Ability to read equipment drawings, understand repair manuals and/or electrical schematics.Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionMust be able to lift 50 lbs., wear a respirator, perform confined space entries, work on tanks over 20’ tall.Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Technical certifications (Boiler, Electrician or Welder preferred)
