General Summary: The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure the delivery of efficient, high-quality, and patient-centered care. Core responsibilities include obtaining and documenting vital signs, assisting with exams and procedures, performing venipuncture and injections, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Medical Assistant also reviews charts for overdue labs, EKGs, or assessments and communicates timely updates to providers. Additionally, this role supports scheduling, patient communication, and coordination across the interdisciplinary care team. Through effective collaboration and attention to detail, the Medical Assistant enhances patient satisfaction, supports regulatory compliance, and contributes to the clinic's overall care delivery goals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Support provide clinical justification when unable to collect. Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with procedures as needed, including venipuncture and administering injections. Observe members during visits, listen attentively to concerns, and record observations accurately in the clinical record. Document and report any behavioral or interaction-related concerns in accordance with organizational policy. Monitor members' physical and mental health status; identify signs and symptoms of mental illness and report concerns to the appropriate clinical staff per policy. Job Responsibilities Supports agency's mission, goals and management decisions, and establishes team mission and goals. Coaches team members on how to develop proactive, strength-based, family centered, treatment plans for families receiving services, in collaboration with staff, Manager, Clinical Director, and other consultants. Reviews referrals to Specialty Providers prior to submission to ensure clinical appropriateness based on member's unique needs. Assists in the implementation of current best practice models. Participates in the recruitment, interviewing and hiring of new staff. Participates in Child and Family Team (CFT) and/or Adult Recovery Team (ART) meetings for challenging cases. Builds worker competencies, including reinforcing positive work ethics and values, encouraging self-reflection and critical thinking skills, building upon training to enhance performance, and supporting staff through casework decision-making and crises. Monitors staff compliance with performance improvement plans submits to HR in a timely fashion. Provides on-the-job training related to clinical practices to staff on clinical team. Ensures team members adhere to initial and ongoing training and licensing requirements. Participates in team meetings and management team meetings, as appropriate Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance. Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position. Qualifications Education Master's or Bachelor's degree in a field eligible for Behavioral Health licensure in the State of Arizona. Experience 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred; prior experience in providing clinical supervision in a behavioral health setting preferred. License- Licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners or other acceptable state board. Regulatory Minimum 21 years of age. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is interested in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services within a clinic setting to clients ages 2-18 diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and/or related disorders. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Function in a supervisory capacity and provide clinical oversight and supervision to all areas of programming including the training of Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Technicians. Assist in the development, facilitation, and training in ABA, using both discrete trial training and natural environment training models of teaching. Provide ABA based training to caregivers and support generalization of skills learned in the clinic setting. This may include providing training in the home, school, and community from time to time. Coaches team members on how to develop proactive, strength-based, family centered, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Support Plans for children and families receiving services. Create ongoing data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for all consumers, and to analyze data on a frequent and ongoing basis to guide programming. Conducts norm-referenced and criterion-reference assessments (Vineland, VB-MAPP, PEAK, AFLS, etc.). Meet as needed and/or required with supervised staff to discuss ongoing consumer issues and to provide support when necessary. Review and sign off on treatment plans and behavior support plans written by Behavior Analysis Trainees. Sets discharge criteria for service and supports a generalization plan. Serve as a liaison to the families of the clients and provide frequent check-ins to ensure their satisfaction with the quality of services being provided. Completes progress notes using the appropriate codes in Electronic Health Record (EHR) within 24 hours of service. Provides consultation to members of the Child and Family Team (CFT) regarding behavior intervention strategies. Trains CFT how to implement teaching strategies. Provides mentoring, coaching and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians. Assists in the development of supervision protocols in line with the standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Keep current with the literature, new research findings and resources. In addition, continuing education courses to maintain BCBA certification are necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education Master's degree in a field related to Applied Behavior Analysis. Experience 1 year as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (preferred), 3 years experience working with children and/or adults with autism spectrum disorders or other related disorders. Certification Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst recognized by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board License Must be licensed behavior analyst recognized by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners REGULATORY: Minimum 21 years of age. Arizona Driver's License, 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration and liability insurance that meets insurance requirements. Must possess Level 1 fingerprint clearance.
