    Overview: Monday - Friday 8a-12pm starting 6/22/26. Pay is $20.50 hourly

    Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Provides one-on-one and group instruction in academic areas after initial instruction by a certified teacher. Assists the student(s) in curriculum tasks, guiding, helping and reinforcing/rephrasing instruction and providing assistance during testing as provided for in the student's IEP and as directed by teacher(s). Provides accommodations as set forth in each student's IEP and as directed by teacher(s). Assists in implementing student behavior and classroom management plans.Collects and records data as assigned by the teacher. Facilitates the inclusion of students in typical classrooms and other settings. Assists with clerical, classroom, and building duties. Assembles materials needed by teacher(s) for daily instruction or student homework. Makes any adaptations, as necessary per individual student' needs in accordance with IEPs and as directed by teacher(s). Assists students with self-care in accordance with their IEPs and as directed by teacher(s). Escorts students to and from classrooms and other sites in the school building as directed by the teacher. Assists with the supervision of students in the cafeteria, on the playground, during arrival and dismissal, during programs/assemblies, during transitions within the school environment, and in the classroom as directed by the teacher. Assists with the supervision of students on district and/or IU sponsored field trips, community-based instruction, community-based vocational training, etc. Completes and provides evidence of twenty (20) hours per school yearof staff development activities related to assignment. Establishes positive and productive relationships in the educational environment. Utilizes technology to support student learning. Must have reliable transportation to visit all job sites. Complies with federal, state and local regulations, IU1 Board policies, procedures and training requirements.

    Education and Experience:
