ABOUT THE ROLE The Class-A Driver is primarily responsible for transporting products and materials from one place to the next, while adhering to safety regulations and requirements. The candidate will have a proven track record of flawless driving skills, with no infractions, in addition to exceptional customer service skills and professionalism.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Safe operating of commercial vehicle in compliance with company and Department of Transportation regulations to ensure the efficient pick up and delivery of loads; local and regional routes
Complete Electronic logs, Pre-Trips, reports and other required paperwork in accordance with all laws, regulations and employer requirements.
Effectively communicate with dispatch, customers, emergency services, and management
REQUIREMENTS Valid CDL-A License with TWO (2) year minimum driving experience, within the last FIVE (5) years
HAZ-MAT and TANKER endorsement required
TWIC Card required
At least 23 years old or older
Three years Accident Free- (Regardless of fault)
Experience in Ports of New York and New Jersey
Must be able to legally work in the United States
Must have basic English proficiency
Physically able to perform routine vehicle inspections
