    Fombell, PA



    Pay: $12.50 to start, shift differential during certain hours



    Hours: 12 hour rotating shifts from 7am-7pm/7pm-7am (2 weeks of daylight, 2 weeks of evening)



    Type: Temp-to-Hire

    Summary: Seeking production support to assist extrusion operators by performing a variety of general labor duties.



    Responsibilities:




    Adhere to safety requirements and inform the Supervisor of any unsafe situations.
    Verify product line, along with properly banding, sealing, and bar-coding racks, bundles, crates and/or boxes of finished goods of material.
    Visually inspect profiles for gross defects, surface defects, and general appearance.
    Notify Extrusion Operator Technician and/or Supervisor or the Quality Assurance Inspector of any quality problems that are in question or occur.
    Line empty racks with fascia, side protector, and plastic as needed.
    Push full racks of material out to be sealed in specified packaging units.
    Transport finished product and/or scrap to designated areas.
    Set up empty racks on rack dollies and transport new racks to floor.
    Sets up scrap Gaylord boxes and replace those that are full.
    Measures, cuts and builds wooden packaging units and delivers them to the running lines for all crating units.
    Completes/finishes crates for company Products, Decking and Fencing with wooden tops and cardboard in addition to sealing and banding the crates.
    Cuts cardboard and banding as needed.
    Empty saw drawers on Extruders
    Change out Nail Fin slug and chipper drums.
    Empty Trash.
    Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area.
    Assist Operators and fill in for breaks as needed.
    Assist operators in packaging profiles neatly and properly according to packaging standards, when needed.
    All other duties as assigned.




    Qualifications:




    High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    Ability to read a tape measure
    Must be available to work any shift and mandatory overtime
    Ability to use hand tools and obtain a valid forklift license
    Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
    Steel toe boots are required
    Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

    A leading overhead crane company and is looking for an experienced Overhead Crane Mechanic to work at customer sites in the Western Pennsylvania market. The company manufactures and installs new overhead cranes and lifting devices for large customers throughout the country. We also provide inspection, repair and re-manufacturing services for all types of overhead crane and below-the-hook lifting devices.

    We are seeking a skilled and qualified candidate that must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ability to read and interpret fabrication general arrangement and detail drawings.

    • Experience with Stick, TIG, MIG welding, Brazing, Cutting Torches and component heating.

    • Certifications in SMAW & FCAW per latest AWS D1.1 preferred.

    • Must provide general hand tools & personal welding equipment.

    • Experience with lay out, fitting and final welding procedures and processes required.

    • Understanding of the differences in materials and their applications.

    • Ability to work independently and creatively to develop final fabrications without the use of final detail drawings. Assist engineers with conceptual designs and drawings.

    • Required to perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment.

    • Experience with project planning, estimating & basic computer skills a plus.

    • Support field service technicians with emergency repair of mechanical components.

    • Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively and professionally with customers.

    • Perform work safely and in compliance with OSHA / ANSI standards.

    • Perform work at heights both outdoors and inside customer manufacturing facilities.

    • Ability to work overtime on an occasional basis as required.

    • Must have a valid driver s license and pass a pre-employment D.O.T. physical.

    • Ability to pass a pre-employment general welding exam.



    The successful candidate must be in good physical condition and demonstrate the ability to operate industrial equipment. The job requires standing, lifting, walking, climbing stairs, bending, pushing and pulling. Use of the hands and normal finger dexterity is required. The candidate must be reliable and willing to work in a team environment.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Three to Five years experience preferred.

    • Manufacturer training program certificates also considered.

    Summary: Mixing raw materials in various industrial sized mixers. Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs of raw materials, weigh the materials and follow procedures for operating the machinery safely.

    Daily Operating Procedures include the following:




    -Operators must inspect their equipment daily at the beginning of their shift. If their equipment is not properly cleaned they must take the time to clean. If equipment is not in proper working order they must report it to their supervisor or Maintenance.
    -Operators must operate their equipment in a safe and reasonable manner making sure all safety and guards are being used.
    -Set up of depositors including, filling and assure proper weight is being deposited. Check product for proper size and weight.
    -Insure that the product meets quality standards.
    -Sanitation of equipment and work area at shifts end. Other responsibilities as needed.




    Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.

    Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to wet, warm and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate. Smoking is permitted on premises. Lunchroom on site; bring lunch.

    Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and maneuver 20-50 lbs without physical restriction; stand 90% of the time and walk 10%of the time.

    After cast comes out of "blast unit", use a saw to remove flash,
    Spin plank 180 degrees putting mold onto belt
    Take casting out of shakeout machine, load casting onto rack, and repeat
    Maintain a clean and organized work environment
    Other duties as assigned




    Grinder Job Responsibilities:




    Set up, operate, or tend grinding and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges or corners, or buff, hone, or polish metal castings
    Inspect or measure finished castings to determine conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as gauges or micrometers




    Qualifications:




    Willing to work with a team to meet production needs in a fast-paced environment
    Willing to learn and work any position necessary
    Ability to work any shift and mandatory overtime
    Ability to read a process sheet via computer
    Ability to lift 65 pounds
    Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, background check
    Must have a valid driver's license and be authorized to work in the U.S.
