    Position Overview

    We are seeking skilled, professional Phlebotomists with corporate wellness or biometric screening experience to support our on-site employee health screening events. This role is engaged on an as-needed basis and is classified as a 1099 independent contractor position.

    Events are generally conducted during early mornings and daytime hours on weekdays, offering a flexible schedule for supplemental work.

    Purpose of the Position

    To perform health risk screening assessments and provide clear, supportive counseling on screening results at employee health screening events.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    Welcome participants and guide them through the screening processObtain height (stadiometer) and weight measurementsMeasure resting blood pressure using a manual cuffPerform fingerstick blood collection and operate Cholestech LDX/CardioChek equipment accuratelyAssess lipid panel and glucose resultsPerform venipuncture blood draws (when required) within two attemptsAccurately document screening data via paper forms or electronic tabletsComplete basic data entry using electronic systemsAssist with troubleshooting screening or equipment issuesSupport setup, breakdown, and transport of screening equipmentAssist with medical emergencies (e.g., fainting, hypoglycemia, seizures, syncope, cardiac arrest), including initiating emergency response and providing CPR as neededMaintain strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standardsPerform additional screening modalities or duties as trained and assigned

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    To ensure financial integrity by supporting accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end close and reconciliations. The role will not only be responsible for daily accounting functions but will gain the opportunity to work with operations and other departments to produce and analyze data to support decisions of internal management and improve accounting processes.

    This role is well-suited for a detail-driven, motivated professional who thrives in a structured, process-oriented environment and finds satisfaction in both the precision of financial work and the mission of helping people live healthier lives.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Reconcile and record bi-weekly payroll entries for employees and independent contractors.Manage cash reporting of actual and forecast inflow and outflow on the daily cash management report.Complete daily and monthly reconciliation of the bank account.Prepare reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts including completion of necessary journal entries.Record monthly inventory usage.Quarterly inventory reconciliation.Assist and oversee monthly client billing and collections with engagement with third party claims representatives.Work with Account Managers for billing and analysis of client revenue structure.Serve as the primary contact for internal staff on invoicing, bill payments, cash receipts, and revenue generation.Reconcile various balance sheet accounts to the detailed ledgers providing recommendations for corrections.Maintain Excel fixed asset schedules, post all related journal entries, and reconcile as needed.Produce proforma income statements for proposals to potential clients as needed.Assist with all finance and accounting operations including all client and third-party billing, A/R, A/P, GL, inventory accounting and payroll.Communicate and work with coworkers, management clients, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner.Develop, recommend, and implement approved standard operating process improvements.Perform other accounting duties as deemed necessary.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 1-3 years of experienceProficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls, medical claim reporting is a plus.Demonstrated experience processing high-volume claims in a healthcare or health services environment.Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy at volume.Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines during peak periods.Excellent communication skills (oral and written) necessary. High volume-transactional experience needed.
