    Laboratory Technician I

The ideal candidate will be an expert communicator who has a strong ability to coordinate and collaborate across a range of departments. Ultimately, the specialist laboratory technician should be driven by a desire to exceed client expectations and company standards.

    Requirements:

    Responsibilities:

    Assist with order packaging, tissue pulling/thawing, compiling supply/PPE kits, and other Order fulfillment & Instrument related tasks
    Track daily orders- this includes keeping track of paperwork, tissue, and any necessary supplies for each shipment
    Maintaining the loading dock and with daily receiving & shipping

    What Youll Do
    Serve as a primary point of contact for clients via phone and email

    The Position: Were looking for candidates to fill an entry level position Lab Associate I, this position will support the Supervisor of Tissue Services.Job Type: Per-diem with the future opportunity to join our team as a Full Time EmployeeAvailable Hours: Mon- Fri 8am-4pm (with 1-2 hours variability), plus occasional weekendsEmployee.
    Starting Salary: $14 hourlyResponsibilities:
    Collect, process, and prepare human cadaveric specimens for shipment.Escort cadaveric specimen to scanning facilities including but not limited to (X-ray, CT, MRI, Dexa)frequently fast-paced environment while having a high level of attention to detail.Help in loading dock with shipping/receivingHelp with deliveries/pickups from nearby facilitiesPut together return supplies/PPEs/lab suppliesHelp with warehouse maintenance/upkeepAble to work under changing conditions and urgent needsAssist with freezer organization and tissue storage/auditsAdhere to all safety and compliance regulations and internal standards of procedure.Understand, enforce, and utilize safe lab practices and maintain a clean working environment and facility standards.Availability for occasional additional hours or weekend laboratory special events.Additional tasks to include assist other departments as needed, training provided

    Requirements:
    A curiosity & a general comfort in working with human cadaveric specimenHigh school diploma or GED equivalentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailTeam-oriented mindsetSelf-motivated, professional and detail oriented.Proven ability to multi-task effectivelyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills (both oral and written)Computer proficiency including working knowledge of MS Office Suite.Physical Demands:
    Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time, ascend and descend stairs.
