    POSITION PURPOSE

    The Body Repair Mechanic is responsible for using a variety of tools, welding equipment, and specialized knowledge to fabricate, weld, and manipulate a variety of materials to repair the bodies and frames of corporation vehicles.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    To succeed in this role, an individual must be able to perform satisfactorily the functions listed below. The company will provide reasonable accommodation to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Examine and diagnose damage to metal, plastic, and fiberglass body panels and a variety of parts and components on corporation vehicles. Determine the proper course of action to facilitate vehicle repair, adjustment, and component replacement.Remove, repair, adjust, and replace the body panel, door, seat and flooring, destination sign, and window.Cut body panels using plasma arc cutter, and uses oxyacetylene cutting/welding, and MIG welding equipment to repair and form body panels and other automotive and bus parts.Apply body fillers, sands, and paints, as appropriate.Weld and rivet body parts, as needed.Locate and repair leaks at seams and beading.Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hydraulic lifts, hoists and jacks, and tugs used for pulling disabled buses.Respond to and aid in emergencies that require the movement of corporation vehicles involved in incidents and accidents.Complete relevant paperwork and reports.Perform all tasks and assignments within the established safety practices and maintenance guidelines.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and experience.

    Formal trade school or an associate degree in automotive, diesel or engineering program or a related field is preferred.Five years or more of body mechanic experience.A certificate of training in MIG welding and/or ASE certification in automotive body repair is preferred.Valid Indiana commercial driver’s license with passenger and air brake endorsements is required, or the ability to obtain the required license within six (6) months of hire*INDYGO WILL PAY FOR CDL TRAINING*

    POSITION PURPOSE

    The Facility Maintenance Technician will perform simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, and other related trades.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.

    Formal trade school or an associate degree in facility management, engineering program, or a related field preferred.Minimum of two (2) years experience in the maintenance trade, with strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and structural repairs required.A valid Indiana driver’s license is required.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    POSITION PURPOSE

    The Bus Operator Trainee position is a limited-duration training position in which the incumbent is taught the knowledge and skills necessary to become an IndyGo Professional Bus Operator. After successful completion of the IndyGo Training Academy, an incumbent will know how to transport, safely and expediently, passengers throughout the Indianapolis Metropolitan area.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition, learn how to conduct an internal visual inspection at the end of revenue service to collect and turn in lost items, check for sleeping passengers, and bring route schedules back inside the operator’s lounge.Learns and maintains a working knowledge of streets, current bus routes, and stops within the service area, as well as IndyGo’s current fare structure and bus pass programs.Learns to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in operating the transit bus. This includes learning how to assist individuals with disabilities with boarding and de-boarding, when requested, and safely securing wheelchairs and mobility devices in a courteous manner, announcing designated stops and other stops as requested, without question, and examining and testing all passenger accessibility equipment during pre-trip inspections.

    Successfully passes the CDL Skills Exam, if applicable.Performs other duties as assigned.

Employee Relations & Workplace Support Serve as a visible and approachable HR presence across IndyGo facilities by regularly walking operational and administrative locations to build relationships and understand employee sentiment, concerns, successes, and workplace dynamics. Develop strong working relationships with frontline employees, supervisors, managers, and operational leadership to foster trust, communication, and employee engagement. Proactively identify workplace trends, morale concerns, communication gaps, operational challenges, and emerging employee relations risks and elevate insights to HR leadership and business leaders. Respond to employee concerns and workplace issues in a timely, professional, and confidential manner. Conduct fair, objective, and impartial employee relations investigations involving workplace conduct, attendance, interpersonal conflict, policy violations, employee complaints, and other workplace concerns as directed. Gather facts through interviews, documentation review, and evidence analysis and prepare clear, objective investigative summaries. Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential case documentation and investigation records. Support a proactive employee relations model focused on early intervention, conflict resolution, and issue prevention. Partner with leaders to improve workplace communication, build trust, strengthen team dynamics, and reduce escalation of employee concerns. Provide guidance to leaders on handling workplace concerns consistently, professionally, and proactively. Support leaders in strengthening team effectiveness, improving employee interactions, and addressing concerns before escalation occurs. Reinforce leadership accountability for maintaining respectful, inclusive, and productive work environments. Labor Relations Partnership Partner with Labor Relations leadership and operational teams to support positive labor-management relationships. Assist with grievance fact gathering, documentation collection, and workplace issue review related to represented employees. Help identify emerging workforce issues, employee concerns, operational challenges, and workplace trends that may impact labor relations or employee engagement. Provide operational insight and workforce observations to HR and Labor Relations leadership to support proactive decision-making and issue prevention. Support consistent interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements in partnership with HR and Labor Relations leadership. Unemployment Compensation & Administrative Support Manage unemployment compensation claims processes on behalf of IndyGo, including reviewing claims, gathering supporting documentation, coordinating with operational leadership, and preparing responses. Serve as IndyGo’s representative during unemployment compensation hearings and proceedings, presenting factual information and documentation professionally and effectively. Monitor unemployment claims trends and provide recommendations regarding documentation practices, policy adherence, and risk mitigation opportunities.     POSITION PURPOSE

    The Risk and Safety Specialist is responsible for the coordination of claim administration, health, risk, and safety disciplines for IndyGo. Core responsibilities include data entry for accidents, scheduling and reviewing video, submitting claims to IndyGo’s third-party administrator (TPA), and the reporting and tracking of OSHA injuries.     POSITION PURPOSE

    Under general direction, the Facilities Supervisor organizes, monitors, and supervises facility maintenance operations and provides technical assistance to the Manager and Director of Facilities.

Monitor and control supplies and equipment; order supplies and tools as necessary; prepare documents for equipment procurement; prepare specifications and contracts for contract services. Help coordinate training in facility maintenance and safety methods, procedures, and techniques. Develop, organize, and monitor preventative maintenance and safety inspection programs for all facilities and equipment. Help coordinate construction projects, remodels, and special projects.


    OTHER FUNCTIONS

    Reviews facilities compliance with regulatory guidelines (i.e., Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM)); develop and implement the necessary changes to ensure full compliance and immediate response to any findings. Assist in the preparation of various contracts, request for proposals and reports. Attend and participate in professional group meetings; maintain awareness of new trends and developments in the field of facility maintenance. Provide support for other departments on activities that require the use of specific facilities or facilities personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    POSITION PURPOSE

    The Business Development and Partnerships Manager (BDPM) is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships, sponsorships and other revenue-generating opportunities that advance IndyGo’s mission and strengthen its relationship with the business community. This position promotes and solicits for IndyGo’s Bus Pass Sales Program, generating revenue and increasing ridership by building and managing partnerships and sales with employers, educational institutions, and community organizations who will support and promote transit to their employees and stakeholders. The BDPM will work closely with the Mobility Manager to grow and maintain a database of program participants, and create sustainable programs and partnerships that drive mutual benefit and long-term organizational growth.
