Plant Mechanic – Tulsa, OK

Role Summary
A heavy civil / aggregates operation in the Tulsa area is seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to support crushing operations and overall plant maintenance.
This is a plant-first role, not a general fleet mechanic position. The individual will primarily work on crushers, screeners, conveyors, and plant systems, while also supporting heavy equipment and trucks as needed.
Position Overview
Primarily based at a plant location (not a travel-heavy field role) Reports into fleet leadership but supports plant operations directly Focused on maintaining uptime across crushing and material processing systems Open to Tulsa-area candidates first; OKC/regional candidates considered if strong
Core Requirement (Non-Negotiable)
Direct, hands-on crusher experience is requiredMust have worked on crushers, not just around them Strong preference for candidates who can: Troubleshoot independently Perform teardown and rebuilds Maintain and repair plant systems with minimal direction
Primary Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair crushers and plant processing equipment Maintain and repair: Screeners Conveyors Feeders and related systems Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Utilize diagnostic tools/software (CAT ET, John Deere, etc.) Support maintenance of heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks as needed Report breakdowns, parts needs, and repair priorities to fleet leadership Perform post-repair inspections to ensure proper operation Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately and on time Maintain a clean work area or service truck and address spills immediately Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements
Qualifications
5+ years of heavy equipment repair experience Required: Hands-on crusher repair and maintenance experience Preferred: Experience with screeners, conveyors, and plant systems Heavy-duty truck repair experience Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred Must have own tools Basic computer skills for work orders and diagnostics Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently in a production environment
