    Summary

    The Assistant Executive Housekeeper plays a key role in assisting the Executive Housekeeper in managing the daily operations of the Housekeeping, Laundry, and Houseperson teams. This role ensures that all guest rooms, public areas, and housekeeping facilities meet the hotel's cleanliness standards and that all associated tasks are completed efficiently. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, conducting inspections, managing supplies, and maintaining effective communication within the department. Additionally, this position includes administrative duties, such as inventory control, payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and presentation. Duties include making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, restocking amenities, and reporting maintenance issues. Follows company procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests.Conduct opening procedures and distribute work assignments.Validate that all assigned guestrooms are inspected and that each room meets the hotel's cleanliness standards and that there is efficient stock and positioning of all guestroom amenities and supplies.Confirm guestroom status is updated in the Property Management System.Ensure all public areas are inspected and meet the hotel’s cleanliness standards.Monitor all housekeeping storage closet supply levels, organization and cleanliness.Properly log and store all Lost and Found articlesEnsure hallways are kept clear of trash, soiled linen, cribs, rollaways and other guest service equipment.Perform housekeeper duties as needed or assigned.Support in ensuring food quality and service standards are being maintained as required (if applicable).Assist in ensuring food sanitation and proper food handling standards are being followed (if applicable).Help oversee the supervision of all associates in the Housekeeping and Laundry departmentsParticipate in effective departmental communication through logs, daily stand up meetings and monthly department meetings.Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable lawsAid in performing a variety of administrative tasks including maintaining an accurate inventory of supplies, processing department payroll and handling any accounting and purchasing functions.Collaborate in maintaining the cleanliness of the Housekeeping department and surrounding areas.Assist the General or Department Manager with planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment and room conditions (television, radio, lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings and maintenance. Report any deficiencies.


    Qualifications  

    Six months to one year related experience and/or training; One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.The Assistant Executive Housekeeper must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the supervisor is frequently exposed to chemicals and dust.The supervisor is occasionally exposed to odors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The associate works in an environment open to the general public.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.Answer telephone.Post charges (i.e. room, food, telephone), compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests.Make and confirm reservations.Monitor room availability.Block rooms.Program wake-up calls.Handle guest mail and messages.Open and close shifts making cash drops as necessary.Maintain market stock and coffee area as needed.Finalize transactions completed during the day and process credit card transactions.Prepare and print folios for departing guests.Create, print, file and transmit required reports.Compile daily sales figures and complete the Daily reports.Complete End of Month procedures.Ensure hotel PMS system is in balance with the reservations system.     The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Generally clean assigned areas including the lobby, restrooms, offices, corridors, banquet areas, elevators, stairways, entranceways, pool facilities, exercise room, associate break areas and outside grounds. Provide safe transportation to all guests using the hotel shuttle vehicle.Collect soiled linens from housekeeping carts and transport to laundry for sorting.Deliver linen, terry and other guest room supplies to housekeepers.Assist in the delivery and set-up of cots, cribs and other guest related supplies.Collect trash from housekeeping carts and transport trash and waste to disposal area.Check all fixtures, equipment, and facility conditions (lights, toilets, water temperature, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings and maintenance.     Up to one month related experience or training; Less than high school education; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Maintain a valid New York State Drivers License with no major violations. Minimum 18 years of age.

    Summary

    Responsible for performing a variety of guest service activities while providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner by following brand service standards and adhering to guidelines and procedures.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.Answer telephone.Post charges (i.e. room, food, telephone), compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests.Make and confirm reservations.Monitor room availability.Block rooms.Program wake-up calls.Handle guest mail and messages.Open and close shifts making cash drops as necessary.Maintain market stock and coffee area as needed.Finalize transactions completed during the day and process credit card transactions.Prepare and print folios for departing guests.Create, print, file and transmit required reports.Compile daily sales figures and complete the Daily reports.Complete End of Month procedures.Ensure hotel PMS system is in balance with the reservations system. Correct any discrepancies. Provide guests information pertaining to hours and available services of the hotel, i.e. restaurant, lounge, room service, along with directions and information regarding the local area.Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby, front entrance and surrounding areas.Assist in checking all lobby fixtures, equipment and conditions (lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings and maintenance. Report deficiencies.Schedule shuttle runs for guests (hotels with shuttle only).Perform laundry duties as needed.Set up continental breakfast.


    Qualifications                        

    One to three months related experience and/or training; High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 18 years of age. 


    Physical Demands

    The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
