Key ResponsibilitiesPerform full take off by scraping plans, counting fixtures and electrical equipment and entering information into the estimating systemA basic understanding of electrical remodel work and the ability evaluate plans and pictures to construct an accurate proposalSend quotes out to vendorsEnter and price quotes from vendors into estimating systemAssist in scoping (checking bids for completeness)Assist in creating proposals for General ContractorsCome up with qualifications based off the drawings they scrapesExplain deviations from drawings to General ContractorAnswer general questions from the contractor about their estimateMaintain open communication lines with all working relationships Earn and maintain customer’s trust
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseKnowledge of Electrical construction Knowledge of National Electric CodeEffective written and oral communication Tracking numbers and bits of data relevant to the work assignmentWilling to undergo a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screenHigh school diploma or the equivalent Electrical Journeyman or Wireman’s license preferred3+ years of experience in electrical residential construction preferred
