Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Production Team Lead is a hands-on leadership role that supports daily production operations and assists the Production Supervisor. This position leads by example on the production floor, helps coordinate workflow, supports basic administrative and HR-related tasks, and ensures production, quality, safety, and attendance expectations are met. Key Responsibilities Support daily production goals and assist with workflow coordination. Lead by example by maintaining strong performance, attendance, safety, and professionalism. Perform Production Operator duties as needed, including operating equipment and following SOPs. Forklift experience and certification is a plus . Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned team members during the shift. Participate in weekly production meetings and communicate updates to the team. Assist with onboarding and informal training of new employees. Track daily headcount, attendance, and support basic administrative reporting. Assist in identifying staffing needs and supporting requests for additional personnel. Support HR by communicating company policies and helping de-escalate routine employee concerns. Provide operational coverage during the Production Supervisor s absence as needed, escalating issues appropriately. Identify and report equipment, quality, or safety issues in a timely manner. Promote safe work practices and support compliance with company and OSHA requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Schedule Time Requirements Scheduled to work four (4) days per week, twelve (12) hours per shift. Shifts may include day, night, weekend, or rotating schedules. Regular overtime opportunities are expected based on production needs. Reliable attendance and scheduling flexibility are essential. Education Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Manufacturing or production experience required. Prior lead or informal leadership experience preferred. Language Requirements Professional working proficiency in English is required. Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese is a plus, but not required. Skills Competencies Strong leadership mindset and ability to lead by example. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to balance hands-on work with team support. Basic administrative and documentation skills. Ability to handle routine employee concerns professionally. Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused. Work Environment Physical Requirements Manufacturing/production floor environment requiring regular standing, walking, lifting, reaching, visual inspection, and use of hands and tools.
