  Lawn Care Technician

  Roles and Responsibilities

  The Lawn Care Technician (LCT) reports directly to the Operations Manager and provides custom lawn and landscape solutions for Imperial Landscaping (IL) and their clients. They are responsible for treatments of fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides according to the scheduled applications, including mixing of the required chemicals for power and handheld spraying and distribution. The LCT loads the fertilizer truck with the necessary supplies and equipment for the day’s route and proceeds to apply the enhancements at each client site. The LCT interacts with customers to explain, advise, and promote the IL services which best meet their needs.

  Requirements

  Knowledge of landscaping operations: two years' or more professional applications experience with a truck for onsite customer visits.

  Valid driver’s license.

  Current VDACS Registered Technician and Commercial Applicator certificate.

  Experienced with operation, loading, and maintenance of commercial fertilizer trucks; ability to operate according to law and safety protocols.

  Able to conduct a thorough site analysis.

  Able to calculate, mix, and apply related quantities for enhancement activities. Takes pride in providing the highest quality work and customer satisfaction.

  Proficient in contacting and coordinating with job vendors.

  Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  Enjoys challenges and problem solving.

  Honest, courteous, and professional.

  Enjoys meeting clients, listening and understanding their needs, and delivering a value-added solution while getting to know them and enriching their experience with IL overall.

  Able to lift 50 lbs. or more to move equipment and supplies.
