This position helps patients achieve maximum performance and independence while adapting to their individual capabilities. Supervisory Responsibilities Physical Therapist Assistant(s) Rehabilitation Technician(s) Essential Responsibilities This description reflects the primary duties of the role but is not intended to include every task that may be assigned. Clinical Practice Provides Physical Therapy services consistent with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Evaluates, tests, and administers treatment programs for patients to improve strength, mobility, balance, and function while reducing pain and discomfort. Utilizes therapeutic modalities including exercise, massage, heat, cold, water, and electrical stimulation as prescribed. Develops measurable, functional goals and objectives for each patient, including timelines for achievement and anticipated discharge planning. Completes accurate and timely documentation to support clinical care and reimbursement requirements. Education and Support Serves as a clinical educator and resource for patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare staff regarding physical therapy techniques and best practices. Performance Improvement Participates in initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction, departmental efficiency, and quality outcomes. Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet departmental goals. Compliance and Safety Actively participates in maintaining compliance with Joint Commission standards and other regulatory bodies. Adheres to safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
