    Summary:

    Excursions Supervisors, reports to the Excursions Manager and are responsible for all aspects of operating successful tours in their assigned Independent Business Unit. (This opening is for Zip Line) including productivity and profitability. Excursion Supervisors will be responsible for reporting tour activity to management and holding their unit responsible for the highest quality customer service and tour delivery and can expect to supervisor from 10-25 people, depending on the tour.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    Conduct all activities and decisions according to Icy Strait Point’s guiding principles: Best, Authentic and Profitable Tour Destination.
    Excursion Supervisors will hire, train and supervise a specific team of employees whose function is to deliver high quality tours within their Independent Business Unit.
    Ensures customer service standards are met in assigned unit
    Ensures high quality and delivery of tour content
    Ensures compliance with state and federal laws as related to their unit
    Responsible for maintenance records of vehicles for unit, as well as, delivering tour-ready vehicles
    Conducts weekly safety meetings related to their unit
    Responsible for keeping unit morale high
    Excursion Supervisors will be asked to identify seasonal goals for their unit
    Excursion Supervisors must be willing to work together to ensure the success of the department
    Other duties as assigned


    Requirements:
    Minimum 5 years working in tourism industry, preferably in Alaska, with emphasis in operations and guest services.
    Minimum 3 years’ experience managing staff.
    Desire to develop a career at Icy Strait Point
    Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, and aptitude for learning other computer programs.
    Valid drivers license and ability to be on company insurance.
    Outstanding customer service philosophy and practices.
    High school or equivalent education with college degree preferred.

    A Security Officer, is responsible for monitoring the assigned specific area ensuring proper identification, evicting trespassers and writing reports detailing any occurrences during their shift.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    The overall duty of a Security Guard is to protect a company’s property, employees, and visitors.
    Monitoring activities in assigned location on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure
    Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over
    Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to protocols
    Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management
    Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
    Performing CPR or first aid when needed

    Guest Services Representatives sells tickets, ensure guests meet the required excursion requirements, ensure guests sign excursion waivers (as required), announce excursion departures, escort guests to their tour vehicle, load guest on the assigned gondola and ensure timely departures of assigned tours.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Provide excellent customer service to all ISP guests

    Sell and provide guests with information about all tours available at Icy Strait Point
    Work as greeters to welcome guests and conduct guest orientations and line control

    Ensuring guests fill out waivers, as required
    Secure bag check area
    Escort guests to tour vehicles or gondola and ensure timely tour departure
    Responsible for the safe and orderly traffic of passengers on/off an aerial gondola cabin or tour

    Summary:

    Zip Rider Operator is to ensure that riders are safely prepared to participate in the world’s largest Zip Rider. Icy Strait Point’s Zip Rider is 1,300’ high, over a mile long, moves at speeds up to 60mph and takes approximately 90 seconds from top to the bottom. It’s a rush! There is the “top tower,” where guests arrive by means of a scenic tour and bus ride before being securely strapped into the harness seat by you, the operator, and there is the “bottom tower” where guests are unstrapped by you, the operator.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Always keep safety foremost in your mind and actions when on the job.
    Duties & Responsibilities specific to the Zip Line
    Securely strap guests into harness seat at start of ride and out of harness seat at end of ride.
    Also use a two-check process at the top tower. One person to secure and one to double check secure of guest.
    From “bottom tower” at end of ride, return harnesses to “top tower.”
    From “top tower” retrieve returned harnesses for start of next ride.
    Learn and impart knowledge to guests of all that Icy Strait Point has to offer, including history, tours, food and beverage venues, retail products and venues.
    Participate in all required trainings and safety meetings
    Maintain a current First Aid/CPR certification
    Other duties as assigned

    The Marine Mechanic will perform repair work and maintenance for marine engines for our fleet of whale watching vessels, and other motors in the company’s fleet.

    Maintains marine motors, steering and hydraulic systems which may include a company’s fleet of marine equipment.
    Performs routine and preventive maintenance as required for warranties at 100, 200 and 500 hours.
    Performs tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function.

    Drive in a SAFE, responsible manner always and keep all equipment in SAFE condition.
    Deliver a first-class experience to all employees, guests and visitors.

    Clean inside and outside of vehicles as needed and scheduled.
    Complete pre- and post-vehicle inspection checklist.

    Summary:

    Tour Guides provide a leadership role as well as interpretation and narration for guests departing on Excursions. Guides will be cross trained to lead all tours associated with Icy Strait Point and may be required to switch excursion assignment schedule if necessary. Tours may include things like Mountain Forrest, Bird Watching, Jeep Tours, Wildlife, Zip Rider and ATV Tours.
