Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiovascular health and/or post-acute and be comfortable managing patients with a variety of cardiac conditions. This role involves direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of cardiovascular diseases in collaboration with our cardiologists.
This is a full time position with flexible hours. The candidate will be expected to work 4-5 days per week seeing approximately 20 patients, with compensation ranging from $110,000- $150,000 annually based on your desired caseload.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including patient history and physical examsDiagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditionsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and lab workDevelop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologistsProvide patient education on heart health, disease prevention, medications, and lifestyle modificationsMonitor and manage patients with hypertension, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and other cardiac conditionsPerform follow-up visits and manage chronic disease careAssist with hospital rounds and inpatient consultations as neededMaintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR)Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of patient careQualifications:
Board Certification (Nurse Practitioner)Valid state license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to interpret diagnostic tests.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systemsCurrent ACLS CertificateCurrent BLS certificateJob Type
