    Introduction:

    This position is responsible for unloading and warehousing incoming merchandise while maintaining productivity rate of 95% or higher.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Must operate various warehouse equipment safely and complete an equipment evaluation daily each time different equipment is in use or exchangedUnload, sort, count and inventory incoming freight.Checks bills of lading for required signatures.Seeks supervisor approval as to whether goods should be accepted or shipped back in the event of damage.Delivers received freight to designated areas of the warehouse for storage. Merchandise may be stored in refrigerator or freezer units.Stocks merchandise in appropriate slots. Restocks primary pick slots from storage as they become empty.Operates various warehouse equipment, including, forklift pallet truck, order picker, etc.Selects or "picks" orders for shipments and will-call. Picks, weighs catch weight items, and stages perishable items in freezer and cooler for next day's shipment.Must be able to attain and maintain a minimum productivity level of 95% within 90 days.Any other warehouse duties as assigned

    Experience and Qualifications:

    High school diploma preferred or GED accepted.Ability to communicate and comprehend math, spelling and reading of various forms to ensure accurate records required.Previous warehouse and freezer experience (preferred)Highly driven self-starter

    We are currently looking for a full time Transportation Manager for our company in Fairborn, OH.


    Introduction:

    This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a smooth operation of the Transportation Department. Provides general supervision of all Transportation employees and functional processes within the department. Responsible to maintain a properly staffed and trained department.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Maintain effective and timely scheduling of all delivery routes and ensure proper route coverage.Responsible for compliance and knowledge with Federal Department of Transportation regulations and other safety standards. Maintain fleet in a safe manner in accordance with company and governmental standards.Must be on call during off duty hours and may be required to cover last minute delivery routes.Must maintain communication within the transportation team and company management.Enforcement of general company policies and issuance of disciplinary documentation to teammates and Management/Human Resources.Strong knowledge of Drivers Handbook.Knowledge of backhaul procedures.Exhibit working knowledge of ELD, scanning procedures and Zebra.Responsible for hiring and road testing potential route/logistics drivers.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    2 - 3 years of proven experience in all facets of transportation management, preferably in the food distribution industry.Must possess and maintain Ohio Class A CDL (manual endorsement as well).Strong communication skills with proven ability to work within the framework of a team. Proven experience with logistics systems and route scheduling.Must possess excellent written and verbal skills.Experience with Excel, Word, XATA or similar programs.Must be knowledgeable with DOT regulations and compliance standards.Experience in recruiting/hiring, training, motivating teammates, and resolving employee relations issues.
