    Role Overview:
    The Network & Security Engineer is responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and integrity of the HMGMA network computing environment. This role designs, implements, maintains, and secures LAN/WAN, wireless, voice, and security infrastructures while defending against internal and external threats. The engineer applies a Defense-in-Depth security strategy to protect systems and data, ensures reliable network performance, and supports business continuity through disaster recovery, backup, and change management practices.

     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of hands‑on Security Engineering, Security Planning, or Security Operations experience. 2+ years of network administration/engineering experience and 2+ years of system administration experience. Advanced knowledge of security technologies with experience operating in medium to complex computing environments. Hands-on experience with two or more enterprise security technologies, such as IPS/IDS, VPNs (SSL/IPsec), firewalls, NAC, Windows/Linux OS, packet inspection, or directory services (LDAP/AD). Strong understanding of network architecture and concepts, including routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, and security dependencies across server/VM environments. Experience implementing security technologies, conducting risk assessments, and integrating security controls into operational frameworks.

    Preferred Qualifications:
     Professional security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISSP‑ISSAP, or SANS. Experience with endpoint security solutions (EDR, AV, DLP) and web filtering tools (e.g., Palo Alto, Forcepoint, Sophos). Strong technical documentation skills (e.g., reports, proposals, SOWs, white papers). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks in a team environment.
    Salary range: $79,800 - $108,000

    What You Will Be Doing
    The Technology Risk Manager is responsible for end-to-end coordination and execution support of all internal and external security related audits. This role acts as the central point of accountability for audit facilitation—ensuring audits are properly scoped, resourced, executed, and closed, while integrating audit outcomes seamlessly into established risk operations processes.

    This role requires exceptional organizational discipline, stakeholder engagement, and a strong understanding of technology risk, audit lifecycles, and governance expectations. The Technology Audit Manager ensures transparency, consistency, and efficiency across the audit journey, while minimizing disruption to delivery teams and maximizing audit quality. The key responsibilities of this role are as described below:

    Audit Planning & IntakeServe as the single point of coordination for all internal and external security related audits.Facilitate audit intake, ensuring audits are:Clearly scopedAppropriately prioritizedAligned with business, regulatory, and risk objectivesIdentify and confirm audit stakeholders, control owners, and subject matter experts across the environment.Partner with relevant stakeholders to ensure agreement and understanding of audit scope, objectives, timelines, and dependencies.

    Basic Qualifications:Experience: 10+ years of experience in technology audit coordination, Technology Risk, GRC, IT Audit, or Compliance. Hands-on experience supporting internal and/or external audits in a technology or security environment. Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional stakeholder environments. Familiarity with GRC platforms.3-5 years of people leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams in a professional environment. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer science or a related field.Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of audit lifecycles, control testing, and issue management with strong knowledge of technology control frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF/800-53, ISO 27001, CIS). Exceptional organizational, tracking, and communication skills.Language Skills: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Proficient in English for effective communication and coordination.
    Preferred Qualifications:Experience: Audit or assessment leadership experience working within a CISO organization or large enterprise technology environment. 7+yrs experience in a top tier professional services firm, leading and delivering technology audit and/or risk management engagements.Education and Certifications: Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.
