    Primary duties and responsibilities include providing prompt, efficient and friendly customer service, working with co-workers as a team, packaging purchases, cleaning various areas, assisting customers in transporting purchases, helping train new courtesy clerks, checking prices on products, pulling product forward on shelf, bringing carts in from parking lot and cart corral, cleaning can redemption area and emptying recycle bins, stocking, facing, rotating merchandise, cleaning shelves, understanding shelf tags, and knowing location of merchandise in the store and back room. Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress. Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines. Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

    Secondary duties and responsibilities include assisting in all departments as requested, delivering product to customers, shoveling, salting, and sanding walkways, assisting in other areas of store as needed, and performing other job related duties and special projects as required.

    Knowledge, skills, abilities, and worker characteristics include the ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions, deal with a few concrete variables, do simple addition and subtraction, copying figures, counting and recording, understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, request supplies orally or in writing, and have increased contact with people.

    Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
