Monitors students’ accountability to include leaves, attendance and AWOL retrieval.
Administers students’ Evaluation of Student Progress (ESP). Ensures that each student has an evaluation by their 60th day on Center.
Provides assistance in the development of the students’ Personal Career Development Plan (PCDP). Update PCDP whenever a student’s plan changes.
Ensures that students develop Career Success Standards (CSS) by providing individual and group lessons or project assignments during and after the training day and on weekends to help student’s master competencies in all standards with clearly established performance levels for these activities.
Provide students with special projects and/or activities to assist them in meeting CSS which have been determined to need improvement.
Provides accurate documentation of student’s matriculation throughout CPP: Ensures the case noting is used to describe each student’s progress, barriers, issues, etc. Ensures that regular communication is documented to include individual and group counseling sessions, AWOL retrieval efforts, ESP results, PCDP updates, leaves submitted accurately and timely as well as barriers to employability and transition.
Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
Provides quality programs and services for students and ensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement of programs and services.
Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.

Career Management Team (CMT): Members contribute to the success of students by actively participating in the CMT process. The CMT is responsible for students’ successful matriculation through the Job Corps program, beginning in Career Preparation Phase (CPP) and continuing throughout Career Transition Phase (CTP). In the Career Development Phase (CDP) the CMT supports students as they earn, TABE gains, HSE/HSD, certifications, and trade completions. When students move to CTP and separate from the program, the CMT supports graduates in placement within 12 months. Former enrollees receive placement services within 3 months. Both have 15 months for the Q2/Q4 post placement survey. CMT is responsible to ensure that the following areas are supported within each CMT: OMS Report Card, CTT OMS, Projected Separations, High School Equivalency, CTT completion, CTT Industry Credential, Literacy and Numeracy TABE, Evaluation of Student Progress, MyPACE, PAR, WBL, Career Transitions Readiness, CSS, Employability Skills, Contextual Learning, Career Transitions/Career.

Significant Responsibilities:
Ensures that the Job Corps program maintains a positive public image, strong community and employer partnerships, a pool of eligible and committed applicants, and full utilization of the Job Corps training opportunities. Purpose
The Student Training Services Director provides support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor. Responsible for organizing, planning, administering and directing the Academics, Career Technical Training (CTT), Career Preparation Phase (CPP), Career Development and other areas of center operations. As a Director this position provides leadership, mentoring, and coaching for direct reports and participates in leadership responsibilities such as attending leadership meetings, department meetings, and completing reporting responsibilities.
Essential Functions
Oversees the Student Training Services program to ensure maximum outcomes and meet all Department of Labor (DOL) and Center standards. Ensures that all staff participates in Career Management Teams. Ensures the Center Career Services (CSS) program delivers quality services to the students and implements a rigorous and relevant Applied Academics program. Ensures that there is a curriculum for every academic and career technical training area. Ensures that lesson plans are being developed and implemented. Writes and develops appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CDSS plan, Center training plans, corrective action plans, and other plans as appropriate. Administers an effective Work-based Learning program to ensure students have supplemental training. Develops and administers a Workforce Industry Council. Develops corrective action plans as needed. Teams are required to ensure that each graduate receives a placement within 9 months of separating from the program as well as complete a successful 6 and 12 month survey. CMT will responsible to ensure that the following areas are functioning within each CMT: CTTRC, Projected Separations, High School Equivalency, CTT and CTT Credential, Literacy and Numeracy TABE, Evaluation of Student Progress, WBL, Career Transitions Readiness, CSS, Employability Skills, Contextual Learning, Career Transitions/Career.
